Easy to fold but comfy buggy for 2 year old

Does anyone have any suggestions? Looking for an easy to fold stroller for everyday use for a 2 year old, so it needs to be comfortable, and also have a seat that's tall enough to last comforatbly till dd is 3+. Needs to have reclining seat, and would ideally also:

  • have accessible, decent size basket
  • allow you to hang bags on the handle without immediately falling over when child is removed
  • have fairly tall handles.
Something I could push one-handed would be even better. I keep searching and searching and can't seem to find the ideal. Does anyone have the answer??

The Baby Jogger City Mini is the one that springs to mind. The basket isn't the most accessible although the later versions are better and the new GT promises to have better access. The 4 wheeler is more stable than the 3 wheeler, but both are excellent.

Another vote for the city mini.

I love mine. love it love it.

I can fit a load of shopping in it, but mainly I love it because the folding mechanism is miraculous.

Phil n Teds explorer. My DD is v tall and loves to sleep in it, huge basket, can push 1 handed and folding is good once you get the hang of it!

Thanks so much for all the tips. What do you think are the benefits of a 3 wheeler (eg the baby jogger city mini) as opposed to a 4 wheeler?

BJCM 4 - almost impossible to fault in my opinion. I use mine for my 1 year old but did have my very tall 3 year old in it at the end of last summer and he was fine - even managed to push him one-handed across grass in it while he slept and I carried his baby brother! He actually jumped in it the other day at home when we were getting ready to go out and he still fitted fine - he's now 3.6 years, 105cm tall and wearing 4-5 clothes, so you'll have no worries about it lasting.

I don't think there are any benefits of a 3 wheeler. I find them very tippy and much prefer 4 wheels. The city mini 4 wheel would be perfect. Although they're more expensive than the 3 wheel ones.
