Anyone had a BJCM carrycot?

I have a BJCM and I love it. I am pregnant with dc2 (early days yet), but thinking ahead I would like to stick to BJCM. I have had many pushchairs and only got BJCM when ds was 1. So not had it with a newborn. I know you can get car seat adapters, but mostly I walk and get the bus as dh has car for work. So was thinking about getting a carrycot- anyone had one, are they any good?

There will be a choice of three carrycots shortly for the BJCM. The hard bodied one, the current compact carrycot and the compact plus carrycot which I believe will be a bit bigger. I used a Bugaboo cocoon in mine :)

I have a Baby Jogger City Elite, and currently use it with the hard carrycot (RRP approx £150). It is the same hard carrycot for the Baby Jogger City Mini. It is lovely and roomy, well-built, and nice to keep baby snug for our long winter walks. I chose it over the compact carrycot as it seemed more substantial. Would definitely recommend it. Also, the way they attach to the frame means that you have a pram that is very high up and so many people comment to me how lovely it is that pram is so high and baby so close to me. Good luck deciding!

I could have written didl post word for word except I have a bjcm. The carrycot being high up is a bit of a problem as I'm only 5ft2

I might be a bad mother but I've had one since the birth of my baby boy and we haven't bothered with the carry cot. We've just had the seat flat and padded it out. To be honest he's usually asleep the second he gets in his buggy any way so the fact he isn't facing me isn't an issue. We just figured that it wasn't worth paying over £100 for somthing he'd only be in for a few months when the buggy itself only cost £175. We use a Baby Bjorn carrier when we're in really busy places like the city centre so he feels safer.
