Convince me that the Out N About Nipper 360 is fab...

I really wanted the Baby Jogger City Mini Double, but in all honesty couldn't afford it, even preowned, they were going for far out of my pricerange. Mansape likes the Out N About Nipper 360, and i thought it looked ok, but not entirely convinced.

However, i let manshape bid on one on ebay last night, never thinking he'd win it... but he did. It's in red, and comes with raincover, sunshade and shopping basket. Apparently not been used much. All for only £112. We pick it up tonight.

Please tell me i'm going to love it. It's for DS3 who will be 25 months when DC5 is born - DS3 is very slight and tiny though, and has only just started walking in last month, so i imagine i'll get lots of use out of it.

Have i made a mistake?

Nipper 360 is fantastic. They are the lightest 3 wheeler double onthe market and if you have the shopping basket you have alot of storage soace. There are also two drawsring pouches on the back of each seat and zip up pockets either side of the hood. The seats have a good weight allowence and both can be laide fully flat for sleeping. I totally love mine, can push it around one fingered fully loaded (thats my playground party trick lol!) and if only I could get it through the front door it would be my perfect double.

Does that help? Grin

Oh seats are big so you might want to get the newborn support for baby. They often come up cheap on ebay.

QuinnFabray · 20/11/2011 14:53

Best pushchair I owned, and I owned a fair few. I had the single and the double version, and if I'd known about it, I would never have tried any of the others. I recommended it to friends, and they love it too. The lightest, most manouverable double there is, expecially for the price.

bamboobutton · 20/11/2011 14:54

i loved mine, very light and easy to push, both dc were very comfy in it.

ds has out grown it so now i'm back to my single nipper for dd.

RandomMess · 20/11/2011 14:54

Great double for a side by side!

QuinnFabray · 20/11/2011 14:55

I could get mine through the front door, by the way.

Wonderfully light to push, easy to manoeuvre. Fantastic storage. It will drive across anything, big hood, comfy seats and liners, good size seats, high off the ground ie no dragging feet.

But it's too wide for a lot of doorways, is bulky when folded, fills my boot more than the average double, has an awful recline on the first version (flat or one other position without messing about), there's not enough space for both (bigger) feet on the footplate, it can be tippy, low handle, the seats are tilted back slightly and I don't like the mesh behind the childrens heads for winter.

But the ease of pushing is worth a lot. And you won't get better storage!

Get it, have a look, have a play and worst case, sell it on again!

MonkeyJuice · 20/11/2011 15:41

You will love it I'm sure. The nipper 360 is wonderful to push and use. Well done manshape! :)

fannybaws · 20/11/2011 15:55

loved mine too, very light and easy to push.

4madboys · 20/11/2011 15:58

i have the single and love it!

know lots of friends with the double and they recomend it! it really is very lightweight and a breeze to push.

to make it cosy for a newborn i used one of the phil and teds cocoons in mine when dd was tiny :) or a really good cosytoes :)

you have got a really good deal by the sound of it :)

deemented · 20/11/2011 21:19

Well we picked it up this evening, but ii haven't actually seen it yet as it's still in the boot of our car. Will have a good look at it tomorrow.

remember to keep the tyres pumped up, worth getting them slimed to reduce the chance of punctures.

deemented · 20/11/2011 21:27

slimed????

RandomMess · 20/11/2011 21:29

Hmm it's something you put in bike tyres that stops them deflating if they get punctured., Bike shops will do it for you or buy the slime on line and do it yourself.

deemented · 21/11/2011 06:22

Oh right - never heard of it, but will certainly give it a go - thank you!

Nipper 360 is great. We had single and double. Used the single for twins from about age 2 as one could sit on front footrest v happily. Could steer double with one hand with twins in and ds1 on front footrest. Got both mine second hand. Loved them!

deemented · 21/11/2011 06:48

Am going to drop the children to school later then come home and give it a good going over. I may also have to conceede eat humble pie that manshape may have been right!!!

I hated, hated, hated mine. I hated it so much, that I only ever used it twice then sold it. I'm sure it would be great for newborns, but my twins looked so uncomfortable not being able to sit upright.

My main pushchair at the moment is a BJCMD and it is great, but my favourite one ever was the Mountain Buggy Urban twin.
