Hi,

We're looking to buy a Joolz Day, but before we commit to it I just wondered if any of you have any opinions/experiences with it?

Thank you

I have Joolz day ... And it has just been Worthily awarded the title of best travel system in mother and baby awards.... I too was a little apprehensive. Bought it because it had similar principles to the stokke in terms of height, and being able to use as highchair but had better suspension, was cheeper and felt more resistant to wear and tear.I have been impressed to date.... I like the sturdiness of the cot... Though I actually put my baby in the sleeping bag then the cot.... As he is only little, and think there is too much space for him otherwise! There are compromises with every pram .. Here it would be the low down storage bag when cot is in use...in all honesty I very rarely put it on use a hook instead!

Welcome to the home of the Joolz Day fan club ;) I am sure Hypatia and Prams (I can't remember her latest ID) will be along to tell you how wonderful their Joolz is soon. They love them :) They persuaded me to get one and mine is downstairs waiting for it's maiden voyage. From what I have seen it looks good but it's too early for me to talk about it. I think the shopping net would be a useful addition and I like the fabrics, quality and extending footrest.

pramsgalore · 10/03/2012 19:18

[waves] i have one and loooove it Grin the quality is excellent, its lovely to push, the seat is huge, lovely fabrics, fab hood, good fiting harness, can not comment on carry cot as do not have one, the storage bag is not bad, the xl bag you can buy is fine but does work better with seat forward facing as to parent facing, i have pram hooks too, the seat is lovely and high, the fold to good and can be folded with seat on either way, but its not a compact fold when folded with seat on

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 10/03/2012 19:29

What prams said! :o I absolutely love mine too, it's amazingly easy to push and I love having the high seat.

I use the XL bag to do my supermarket shop and it has never been anywhere near full yet. It doesn't fit too well with the seat facing you and upright or with the footrest extended, but it's still worth buying.

I also have the add on sunshade with UV net, which was also a good buy as the normal hood can only be either open or closed and sometimes you'll want it half open, so the sunshade can be used as a partial cover. It can also extend the hood so you completely cover the child up which I like to be able to do. The only negative to the sunshade is that it only comes in dark grey and isn't a perfect match with Anthracite if you get that colour.

I wouldn't hesitate in buying one at all and I really wish I'd bought one earlier than when my daughter was 16 months. :)

How much are they? They can't publish a price online. Smile

Hpbp · 10/03/2012 23:14

I have seen one in London at gbp699 and that was just for the seat and chassis not including the carrycot

AtticusFlinched · 11/03/2012 08:25

According to the awards article in mother & baby, it's £650 with the carrycot included. Only thing is, they don't tell you where from! Does anyone know if it's design has changed at all since they split with M&P? Would a second hand M&P one be basically the same as a new one from Joolz?

snala · 11/03/2012 08:53

Thanks Smile

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 12/03/2012 14:20

They're very similar, but not the same exactly. If money's an issue, there would be no problem in getting a Mamas and Papas version I wouldn't have thought. The main difference is that the fabrics are different in both colour and texture and the seat unit is countoured differently, but I don't know if that makes any difference to the support or comfort of the child.

The RRP is £655 including the carrycot I believe, but there are lots of deals available. I saw a stockist stating they had it with 10% off and a free footmuff (RRP £69) so presumably only £590. There are also special and limited editions which have an RRP of £850. The prices are going up at the end of this month, so if you want to buy new, I'd do it asap.

Xanderpask · 13/03/2012 03:29

Make sure you phone around to get best price... There was a wide difference when we bought ... Ended up with deal of changing bag maxi cosi adapters coffee cup holder sleeping bag carry cot rain cover for £600
Which I thought was good

Xanderpask · 13/03/2012 03:34

Ps has anyone taken theirs abroad on a flight... I contacted joolz ... They promptly got back to me suggesting The stokke pram pack / travel bag
For its protection... Anyone got any experience does it fit well?

Xanderpask · 13/03/2012 03:36

Pps anyone bought the bumper for the pram seat?

Veedubrach · 13/03/2012 07:56

I bought one at the baby show in in London. I haven't received it yet but after looking at so many we narrowed it down to the joolz and the bugaboo chameleon. But there was something about the joolz that we just liked.
The rrp is £649 for the pushchair and carrycot, but we got he sleeping bag, changing bag, car seat adapters, cup holder, mosquito net for £600

It seems really well made compared to some of the others we looked at.

DollFisher · 14/08/2012 14:37

I'm going to the babyshow in October and am due first week of Jan. seems like ages in between but is that enough time for it to be delivered?!

babydad · 14/08/2012 15:03

Doll - see you there on the Joolz stand. We are due beginning of Jan and hoping it will be ready by then.

DollFisher · 14/08/2012 15:06

Yay! How exciting!

rgrigsby · 28/08/2012 13:26

I've asked around and a few places that don't have them in stock seem to suggest 3 months for delivery of the Joolz Day, we're due end of Dec so I'm in two minds as to whether to buy now or wait for the baby show.

I suspect buying now is the safe bet but it's going to be quite a bit more.

TrickyTrickster · 10/09/2012 17:12

Hi, could you tell me where you bought your joolz from please as I would like one and that price is ALOT cheaper than I have been quoted. Cheers

rogersmellyonthetelly · 12/09/2012 21:34

I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago at the Manchester baby show and it's now in my dining room :0)
I got the special edition in monkey maroon, which is in fact brown but I like it, makes a change from black red or purple!
I paid £770 including the car seat, adapters, footmuff and nappy bag, I'm pleased with the price and that it arrived so fast. Just waiting for a baby to put in it. Ive also shelled out extra for the mosquito net, cup holder and xl shopping bag.

Theo2005 · 29/10/2013 21:03

I purchased the joolz day in feb at a baby show.
However I was extremely disappointed.
it's difficult to fold, when either putting on or taking off the carry cot or seat it gets stuck.
It's big and bulky doesn't fold compactly.
As it doesn't fold without taking the cot or seat off (unless forward facing) takes up a huge amount of space in the boot.
Taking the seat in and off in a car park when it's raining or when your baby is crying is extremely stressful.
The good doesn't cover enough in the sun, a parasol can be purchased.

Although you do get a lot of compliments on the design of the pram.
Carry cot can double as a travel cot
Clever hooks for changing bag.

For practicality which is needed with a little one. It doesn't not do the job. Unfortunately our pram did break, the chassis twisted. So we have exchanged for a more practical pram.

I would really test this pram before you buy.

This pram is now stocked at kiddie care

Hope this helps

Dordje · 23/02/2014 11:06

We are SO glad we bought the Joolz Day! It's just perfect for my wife and I. It's a good height (don't have to bend down too far unlike a bugaboo and it's higher than sniffing dogs noses and when in the seat part, our LO can join us at the table when we go to restaurants.

It's great suspension, it's easy to use and just superb in every way!!!

I can't be a stronger evangelist for this pram!

Sophie844 · 04/04/2014 09:13

Anyone with the joolz day advise when they started to use the seat as oppose to the carrycot? Just my baby can hold her head up and can almost sit unaided (she's 4months) or did you all wait until the recommended 6 months? Thanks :)

Member475802 · 26/05/2015 10:55

Just wonder if anyone ever replied to Sophie844 ’s question about when you can start using the seat on the Joolz, as opposed to the pram. My LO is ten weeks but already seems v bored when in the pram. He’s v alert and interested in his surroundings and i think he’d be a lot less grumbly if he could sit up more...any thoughts anyone? Many thanks

JacobWrestling · 26/05/2015 21:59

We had a Day and started using the seat at a little over four months. I wouldn't have used it any earlier - the seat has a slight 'bucket' shape, rather than being totally flat, even if fully reclined. Maybe use a sling for a few weeks to bridge the gap.
