I just can't decide!

Anybody own either of them? What are the pros and cons?
DS will be 2.3 when baby is born.

the graco quattro duo, is huge folded and set up, it truely is like pushing a train, it very long and heavy, was so pleased when i got rid of mine [which was very quickly] the other one i don't know anything about, what is your budget as there are many tandems out there.

The Graco is seriously heavy at 18.6kg. The Chicco's 14.7kg, which isn't amazing but is much better. I see a lot of the Gracos and the person pushing always seems like it's a major struggle and the front hood seems very low. I was on the train a couple of weeks ago with a couple who had one and it was seriously hard to maneouvre into position. I wouldn't ever consider one myself. The Chicco looks much better for that sort of pushchair.

I assume you have a budget of about £200 if those are the two you've narrowed it down to. Have you looked at the Jané Pwertwin on eBay? They tend to go for anything from £100-200. Unless your older child is tall, I would recommend it. They're extremely easy to push over any surface and they cover the same grounds as the Chicco and Graco.

If you're not just looking at the 'train' style tandems, also have a look at the Britax B-Dual. It's lovely to push and steer, really versatile and can be used as a single when you don't need a double. They sell on eBay for about £200 I think or you can buy a new one with a second seat, carseat and footmuff for about £330 if you can stretch that far. I think the hauck Duett is worth a look too.

I agree with aswellasyou. The Graco is extremely heavy to push. I didn't find it too bad to carry. But it's got a real identity crisis, because the front seat of the Graco is low enough for a 2 year old to paddle across the floor and the rear seat overall is bigger but the rear seat is the one intended for the baby. The Chicco is similar (I haven't tried a child in the front seat though) but there is the smallest recline on the front seat, so much so that I asked an assistant to check it didn't recline further!! The front too looked low.
So with an already two year old, I wouldn't buy either. I would suggest the B-Dual as well.

Hmmm...now definitely veering towards the britax b dual. It gets some very good reviews, is about half the weight and comes in some pretty colours Grin Its really annoying that there's nowhere I can go and test them out round here.

Thanks for the advice- you may have just stopped me making an expensive mistake.

My only negative about the B-Dual is that older children 'hang' a bit from the harness. I dont think they are uncomfy though. I found (and have seen with others) if you lift the footrest up to horizontal or above that the child looks better. . There's no logical reason for this - the seat is a good size. Don't let it put you off because otherwise the B-Dual is a good all round pushchair.
