Any opinions/experience regarding the bugaboo chameleon?

What do you want to know? :)
Its one of the best all round pushchairs there is if that helps?
Comfy for the child, lovely to push, big basket (inaccessible in carrycot mode), tricky to fold - read the instructions! The off road option s useful to have.
Expensive, but worth it. The extras all add up too, but it's lovely to ave the options to change colour etc. But they hold their value. I sold mine at a profit from new.
I loved mine and would happily have another. It was only sold to buy a double pushchair.

very easy to push, basket ok, but with carrycot you can not get to it, easy fold when you know how!!! you will need the instructions and perhaps watch youtube a few times Grin love the fact you can change the colour.

I know a lot people who think bugaboo owners have more money than sense ... I would look at the ' Which' best buys , you will see it's just not necessary to spend that amount !

have a look at the uppababy vista - much prefer it to the cameleon and much much better made.... and cheaper :)

I am deciding between it and the icandy peach at the moment. I am drawn a little more towards the bugaboo becasue of its off road options. I live near the coast and lots of woodland type walks so I'd love to have a flexible pram. I ahve ad a play with it and found it really manuovrable and didn't find it too hard to fold.
I appreciate it is a lot of money so just wondered if anyone had experienced any major flaws with it.
I'll take a look at the uppababy, its not one i've seen yet.

It's lovely for walking in town. Lovely big basket when it's in pushchair mode. Lovely and comfy for child, love the way the pushchair lies completely flat for when they fall asleep. They look fab IMO.

They are huge and take up a lot of space in the boot of a car. You have to take the seat off the frame to fold it. Basket hard to get to when you have the pram on the frame, although not impossible. It's not as good off road as it says it is. Pulling it by the big wheels in snow and sand - er, no. When you push it through mud and/or wet leaves they get caught up in the little wheels at the front and the buggy grinds to a standstill.

In short, lovely if you live in a town and do lots of walking. I did and loved it, but it has distinct disadvantages.

at the moment i am undecided between the jane slalom reverse and the uppababy vista, both are great, the jane more for off roading, but i understand the vistas not bad for light off roading. both would suit your needs well, the jane is a larger fold i think more chunky than the vista, but both fold with the seat ff and both ff and pf

I would be inclined to agree with the above re off road. I have had all three ie the Peach, Vista and Chameleon and the Chameleon was the worst on our thick gravel drive, and that was a single, the other two could handle the gravel even in double mode! Have you looked at the Peach Jogger? That has the off road option with the seat advantages and large basket of the Peach. Out of them all my preference is the Peach, simply because it suits me as a person. I can barely fault the Vista. I loved my Chameleon a lot, but there were niggles. I think all three are lovely, top quality pushchairs and if I was left with any one of them and no other pushchair then I would be quite happy - and I don't say that about every pushchair! Wink

if you buy the "snow wheels" it's fab off road but I think I'd go for a nipper 360 or a mountain buggy if looking for a buggy for mostly off road. I love my cameleon but I came close to getting rid of it before I bought the off road wheels. It is the nicest buggy I've ever pushed though - light, easy to steer one handed, lovely suspension. I find it fine to fold but my mum cannot get her head round it
