Kolcraft Contours or Baby Jogger City Select- which is best for mild off roading?

Hi, Does anyone have any experience of either of these off road - not major stuff, just gravel path and a river bank (uneven grass / mud surface etc). I'm considering both for ourLONG winter doggy walks for my 3.4 year old and 4 month old.....Any advice would be great- going round in circles here!! (I've also seen the Kolcraft Contours Optima which looks much lighter and slightly smaller- again, anyone with any experience of that one? Thank you lots and lots :)

Oh WOW oh wow oh wow:):):). Im sorry I havnt updTed you all but I just want to say a HUGE thank you to you all in helping me find my dream buggy:):). I absolutely love it!!! It has totally transformed my life- i can mow get out for lovely long muddy full on off road dog walks with a tired grumpy ds1 chomping on snacks and recovering from a full on day at prescl and while ds2 snoozes in top deck;). ThNk you all soooo much. I love the rugged ness of it- yes it is fairly "robust" but i can get it up and down our hills fully loaded no problem- no more back ache like I used to get from the p&t's. I love the great storage bag, the brilliant raincover system and leg cover bits that fold so tiny you can always have them on board. It even has ready made points for me to hook my doggy leads on:). And best of all the one iv got is purple:)!!! The only downside is that I can't get anywhere very fast as everyone stops me in the street to talk about it and ask where I got it:):). So hank you thanyou thankyou:):). Xxxx

Forgot to add some of the other bits I LOVE about it- how I can drive it up and over pa ements without even having to lift it up, how ds2 is sooooo close to me- he adores it and can get oodles of snuggles to make hi
Chukle while we walk- and because he's soo high no other friendly dogs can come and say hello to him;). Ds1 thinks it's great and jumps in and out himself the while time- uses it like a tram!!! Even though it's tight on head height like you all said - he doesn't seem to notice- just. Lambers in pushes the bumper bar down and leans forward over it- until he asks to have a full on chill out with it reclined!! As u can see I love it alot- all of your adviice has fo found me an absolute winner for our somewhat unusual request :):) xx

That's a fab update :) Thank you! It is a fab pushchair but as you will now know, it's nothing like anything else I know of on the market! But isn't it fab :) I love mine for walking with. It's strange you mention no backache because I am bemused because I get back ache with certain pushchairs and I thought handle height was a contributory factor. But I never get it with the ABC no matter how loaded up we are, and yet my handle is on the lowest setting which is something like 98 (or is it 96) cms which usually is way too low for me. I think I walk more upright pushing it or something. Enjoy :)

Yes- it is sooo unlikeanyrhimg else I've seen bit soo well thought out- like the lovely simple but very effective brake- no broken cables or sore toes!! And the genius but simple hoods and zip on covers, and the simple bit great recline functions that just ....work!!!! and the hoods that give amazing sun coverage - and zip on full f50 sun covers that go on instead of the raincovers when needed- it just feels Luke phil and ted green have sat down and thought every inch of it through very very carefully- just soo clever and does all the things you want of it :) thank you once again :)

It sounds like yours is newer than mine :) My brake is very heavy and has to be done by hand. I haven't yet worked out how to zip all the covers on!! Photos etc dont help! Come and give me some lessons :)

So I think it's fair to say you lke it!Grin I'm so glad it's working out well for you and that there's enough headroom in the main seat. I'd love to have one myself but they're far too long folded, even with the front wheel off. Sad
