People who love pushchairs far more than me over here please! I love my micralite fastfold but need something that reclines more.

My fast fold has lasted 4.5 years and 3 children. If I hadn't needed a double on occasions I wouldn't have owned another pushchairs ever!

But. DD3 is 7 months and doesn't fit the carrycot anymore. With DDs 1 and 2 this wasn't a problem and the just moved into the fast fold pushchairs. This wasn't a problem because neither of them ever slept in the pushchair. Fast forward to DD3; she only ever naps in the pushchair. And we do 3 school runs a day, 2 dog walks, shopping etc. She is in it for a minimum of 4 hours a day and I just think that is too long to be in a non-reclining seat.

So I'm in the market for a second hand reclining pushchair. Really don't want to spend much; am likely to return to my beloved fast fold eventually.

Ideally, I want something I can steer with one hand - hate maclarens for example. Would I hate the loola? Have seen a couple going cheap and like the added bonus of being able to rear face. Any other suggestions?

I got a Streety for my S2's new baby at Easter.Not everyone agrees but they think it is fab.It reclines,has a continuous handlebar and is reversible.It's all sturdy so great if you do a lot of walking.
They sell very cheaply on ebay second hand so definitely worth a look

I am not a pushchair lover exactly but what about a Micralite Toro?

My son won't nap in some of my pushchairs but he always will in the Baby Jogger City Mini. I think because it not only reclines flat (and sways a little as you walk) but it's also dark under the huge hood.

I'm getting a phil and teds today as i need a good reclining single but I need the option of a double as well.

If I didn't I would go for a baby jogger city mini. A couple friends have them and love them.

I didn't rate the Loola at all! Very heavy, harness straps to short, couldn't get my ds1 in it with a winter coat on for example. Never felt sturdy and a pain to bump up steps if needed as the back wheels would try and separate from the frame if you pulled it backwards. (ok they didn't but it felt like it)

I replaced my fastfold with a toro because of the recline and I totally love it.

Another vote for the Baby Jogger City Mini here. Comes in 3 or 4 wheel version. My dd is nearly 3, 3ft 2ins tall and weighs 2 stone 5lbs and still fits comfortaby in it. She has always fallen alseep easily in it and even now will dose off even though she doesn't really nap anymore.

I had a Loola when lo was small, but sold it when she was 9 months. It was heavy and hard to get up kerbs, couldn't push it one handed, and the straps were too short even with the extensions that Dorel sent out. The seat in parent facing mode was too reclined in it's most upright position and lo hated it. My one also had a viewing window on the back of the hood, but as it didn't have a cover, the sun would come through right on to dd's head.

I have to say I would recommend the uppababy Vista, as it is easy to push one handed. Even with a large child. However, I am not sure you'll get one in your anticipated budget.
Four hours a day is a long time to be in a buggy. Is there any chance you could get something new and sell after use to recoup much of your outlay? It sounds as though you're not using a car or public transport, so maybe should consider a good quality work-horse pram.
Alternatively many of the old sprung style silver cross pushchair prams, or mamas and papas ones may fulfill these needs much more cheaply. Retro is in!

loolas are not good, and you can not go backwards which you would think well i don't go backwards but you do lots to get out of the way of people in shops etc the back wheels and frame start going out wards as soon as you pull the thing backwards. mamas and papas mpx is good, but not one for the car and they go cheap on ebay, even cheaper are mamas and papas freestylers but they dont parent face, but they do fold in one, they have a huge shopping basket.

You will hate the Loola if you're used to a Micralite. I tried one and found it really heavy and awkward.

I don't have public transport issues and do have a car but it's a c8 and has loads of space. have even kept the micralite with carrycot in it without folding it down! Just do a lot of walking with the school run/ dog walks/ local town shopping

For dog walking definitely consider the Baby Jogger Elite rather than the City Mini. The City Mini is more urban. The Elite is better for off road.
