Tandem pushchair compatible with Primo Viaggio car seat???

Can anyone reccommend a tandem pushchair, for a newborn and toddler, that's compatible with Primo Viaggio car seat that won't break the bank please?! I'm hoping to get one off ebay in order to keep costs down, but don't know if I'm limited to only Mamas & Papas pushchairs.
We already have the car seat so didn't want to fork our for a new one to fit a tandem pushchair... that's if you can get them to go on such a thing! Help please, I am well and truly confused!

If it's any consolation Skates are quite cheap on Ebay.

Aw, thanks - I had seen the Skate and I like it, but it's well out of my price range, especially as you have to buy the junior seat separately. Most of the Skate's on ebay seem to be the older model that isn't compatible with the junior seat. The only one I've seen of the newer model is a 2.5 hour drive from me and pick up only! 
Back to the drawing board!

Don't even contemplate a junior seat and Skate!! I don't have time to give you the full growls about it but it is actually impossible to lift the front off the ground with a toddler in the Junior seat and I was told baby should go in there at six months old with a three point harness and zero view of him (or view for him), DD HATED it because it's pretty enclosed and close to the seat in front. I think otherwise you are stuck with the M&P brand though. There is the T2 often spotted on EBay which probably takes a car seat, and their bigger tandem, the names of which escapes me...is it the Duette...which again I am sure takes a car seat.

Wow, thanks Tiggywunkle - Sounds like I should be avoiding the Skate then.
The Duette looks enormous! I will look out for the T2, can't see any on ebay at the moment. I've also seen an older model called the Aria, although not sure how sturdy it is - it seems to come in two models, either 50/50 or 60/40 and from what I can tell it takes the Primo Viaggio seat.
What a nightmare it is trying to find a good tandem pushchair! I'm wondering if I should just start from scratch and look at a new car seat as well but I'm really trying to keep costs to a minimum

Have a look for a shop which still has the Britax B-Dual free ride deal on where you can get either a second seat or car seat for free. It's an old deal but I know some shops are still doing it. The B-Dual is a pretty good all round pushchair. The Aria is generally well liked too. Have a look at Best Buggy for tandem and twin stats and ideas. The Duette does look huge!

The Aria does take the Primo Viaggio, although I'm not sure which version or if both do. You could also look at American ones-they often include a universal adapter. I know the Kolcraft Contours takes a Primo Viaggio and it comes with the adapter. It doesn't come with a raincover though, although the one I'm about to sell does!
There are probably other American ones you could use your carseat on.
Is your budget really small? How much do you think you could afford?

I honestly wouldn't recommend the US BJCM attachments. They apparently aren't terribly great and overhang onto the other seat and apparently just look odd stuck so far out at the front.

Thanks both, will look into those. That ebaby.co.uk is a new site to me... what on earth does 'available on ordination' mean?!
I can't beleive how complicated it is trying to get a good tandem and hopefully one that fits with the car seat we already have.
I would really like to keep the spend to under £200 if possible (way under would be great!), I don't know if that's realistic? I thought I was good at googling and finding out info, but the more I look, the more confused I get!

I had a single Aria and it was VERY flimsy.
I considered getting a cheap second hand twin Aria off ebay in the end as we were in the same position as you but didn't as remembered what the single was like.

I'm just wondering what age your toddler will be when the baby is born and if you have an M and P pram from first time round too?
The only reason I ask is because DD1 was 22 months when DD2 was born and once DD2 was old enough to sit upright (3 months) DD1 was happy to travel everywhere on the in-built toddler step of the M and P pliko pramette. So I wondered if you already had that pram if you'd consider that as an option.

I did think the Aria didn't look at sturdy as I might like. We use the pushchair a lot and it's in and out of the car constantly, as we live in the middle of nowhere, so have to drive everywhere or do lots of country walks.
Toddler will be 2.5yrs when the new baby is born and although he likes to walk places, he is very, ummm, investigative shall we say He is inclined to go off on a tangent, so if he's not strapped in he will be off!
We currently have a M&P Luna which I did wonder about getting some sort of buggy board for, but we will still have the problem of DS escaping!

Lol I must have had something like over 20 doubles now to test out and there are only a handful that really work well and sadly they do cost unless you hit it lucky on Ebay.

Have a look at the Joovy Ultralight. It's not perfect because baby would need to be in the car seat, but it's a lot of fun for you and your toddler (there is a 3 point harness) You can import them new for under £200 if I remember correctly.

If you decide on the ebaby one, use the code 5F7M-62T5-1S47 for £13 off. It's an Italian company I think-a lot of the writing seems to have been put through Google Translate to me.
I've always heard good things about the Aria but it's not my sort of pushchair so I've never tried it out.
£200 is a good budget I'd say. You could probably get a B-Dual on eBay and buy a Britax, Maxi Cosi or Babystyle Oyster carseat to go on it. You'd need adapters for all but the Britax SHR carseats though. I'd keep an eye out for a cheap one if I were you.

Oh my goodness, my head is spinning... Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone and the discount code aswellasyou At least I know I have more options than I originally thought... just wish I had a bigger budget!
I have a couple of months to think about it and look out for bargains, the baby isn't due 'til 6th Nov.
I do have an ancient Britax car seat from about 9 years ago, but I'm guessing the design has changed in that time!
DH thinks we should just teach DS to 'stay' and not wander off, but I think that will be easier said than done, especially with a newborn and 9 year old in tow too
