Bee+ 2 questions: Is it ok if I line with blankets for newborn instead of cocoon and anyone else find the seat stiff to remove with a new Bee?

I bought my Bee a while ago and tried assembling it the other day. I found the seat wouldn't lift out of its locked in position easily so I could turn it to face the rear.

I have practiced doing it in the showroom and double checked to see if I was doing it incorrectly, but I wasn't. I managed to turn it in the end but realised I had to use quite a bit of force and manipulation. The seat seems to stick when it should lift out easily when in the forward position, anyone else have this problem? Does it loosen and stop being so stiff after a while of usage?

Also, I want to use my Bee from birth but am not thrilled about buying a cocoon as it seems a waste of money and would rather invest in some blankets and possibly a sheepskin to line the stroller instead. Maybe Even blankets alone might be an option, has anyone used a Bee from birth in this way?

I think you would do best with a sheepskin and blanket in the warmer weather, and a good quality footmuff for the autumn/winter. There are lots of custom made liners/footmuffs/ attachable blankets around, but they take weeks to complete the order, so may not be in time for your birth.

Honestly the Bugaboo cocoon was my best baby buy. It lasted until my baby was about 9 months - he was tall for his age, and he looked so snuggly and slept like a dream in it. Plus it's got a good resale value afterwards.

The cocoon helps ensure the baby is in the flatest possible position and I second what Tiggywunkle said. We used it for almost a year and DD was kept cool in the summer when we just used the base and snuggly warm in the winter months.

But yes, moving the seats is a pain. I have the original Bee which is worse apparently.

You'll get the knack, the seat has to stay folded when you turn it or it gets out of line easily. If you check its lined up correctly you shouldn't have to force it

Do M&P liners fit the Bee Plus?

For alot of buggies the coccoon/footmuff of the same brand, or to partivularly fit that buggy, ARE a waste of money....but I have to say this one is not!
