Double buggy, sling or buggy board? Help please!

I am getting quite confused about what I need in my situation. Advice needed!

I have a 2.3 year old and a 3 month old. At the moment I am using a single pushchair [Mamas and Papas Luna] for toddler and a Babasling for the baby.
I don't drive and so walk mainly within the local area [about 10 - 20 mins walk each way]. I also catch buses fairly regularly and occasionally trains.

I have been managing quite well with single pushchair and sling until now... Now I am finding that the baby in sling is starting to make my back and shoulders ache. So am wondering what to do. My toddler does like to walk but it is slow going and he does get tired [hence the need to transport him in single pushchair]. So the option of being able to put him in a double buggy or on a buggy board to rest is helpful to me.

I have started looking into double buggys and had pretty much decided on a Mothercare Hoxton as it seems quite compact which will be useful for buses [as bus travel is quite stressful with large buggy]. I also live in a first floor flat and want a buggy that doesn't take up too much room, can be transported up stairs and can fit in my sedan boot. Also didn't want to spend too much on one as may only be needed for another 6 months to a year until toddler starts walking in earnest...
However I see that the Hoxton has had mixed reviews [mainly due to it's weight?] and am now undecided. Has anyone got one of these and could advise me?

My other thought was to get another sling which might be more comfortable to transport large baby/toddler in. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

My other thought was to get a buggy board. I think the Lascal Maxi fits a M & P Luna, does anyone know?

Any advice would be much appreciated!!!!

I'd get a better sling, we have a babba sling which I used with DD1 in combination with a mei tai and later a pattapum toddler, this time I got a moby wrap, it's a million times more comfortable and secure feel, and so so simple to tie - it's stretchy so I put it on in the morning then DD2 pops in and out of it all day.

DD2 was over 10lbs at birth, is 3 months now and I can happily have her in the moby all day from 8am - 6pm, just coming out for the odd wriggle and feed.

Thanks RobynLou. I will look into the Moby Wrap... I can't imagine having hefty DS2 [3 month old] in the Babasling from 8am to 6pm! It is a bit hard on the back/shoulders as it only goes over one shoulder.

Buggy board is a good option for staying compact. Don't know if Lascal fits yours, but Mothercare have a list of what buggies it fits, so you can ask in any Mothercare and they'll tell you. Def worth trying IMO. Can take a little while for toddler to get used to it - try it on short outings at first, but mine absolutely loves it after a slow start.

Buggy boards don't fit very well on Lunas, as you can't recline the seat fully if using one.

Maclaren XT and Nipper 360 are good with buggy boards. You can probably get them cheaper 2nd hand if you don't mind that.
