Bugaboo Bee good for rough terrain?

Is it just a city pushchair?
I want something for city and mountain walks, that doesn't take up too much room in the boot of the car!

I've no experience with Bugaboo Bee, but I bought an Out'n'About 3 wheel Nipper and truly love it.

It steers like a dream with one hand, which is great when you're drinking coffee on the go! and has lots of handy pockets/storage. Lot's of mum's I speak with also love this pram.

It's brilliant around the city and on mountain walks. It also has a reliable brake system, even on really hilly ground. Essential if you are thinking of going 'off road'.

The Nipper is very durable, easy to fold (once you've done it a couple of times) and light weight. It also goes up and down stairs with ease, and makes light work of curbs/gutters in the city.

Good luck with your search :)

The Bee is a lovely pram, but i find it can't even cope very well with the bumpier bits of the local common, and certainly wouldn't take it anywhere hilly or with track paths. The one time we tried to take it across a field, it was so hard going we had to turn back! We've bought a second hand Frog now too, and it copes much better with surfaces other than pavement. Hardly use the Bee at all now, which is a shame, cos it's a dream to push, looks great etc, but is definitely urban and suburban only.

Bee is not for off road.
The cameleon works well for both though using either two wheel mode or adding the terrain wheels for off road.

thanks all...
might look into a 3 wheeler

Mountain Buggy Breeze on sale on their website - only £199 - includes bottle holder and snuggle bag!!! What a bargain - and it's the smaller lighter model - good for town and shops - yet it's got that fab fixed wheel which makes it great off road. This model also is said to be good for travelling - whether by bus/train or plane and smaller for your car boot too.

The Mountain Buggy Breeze is reputed to be very sturdy and solid (while also lightweight aluminium) and made extremely well. I've seen it elsewhere for over £400 - without the snuggle bag (which usually costs £70 separately).

Micralite toro/fastfold/superlite and extra all terrain wheels would be good and very compact.

It does'nt rear face but you can use it with maxi cosi cabriofix or carrycot from birth which faces you for the first few months.

The wheels that come one it are small swivel wheels but these can be changed for the all terrain wheels (£62.99 from Kiddicare) which are fixed inflatable tyres when going for walks etc.

Sadly those Micralite wheels mentioned are a discontinued product. No longer available anywhere.
Very rarely available second hand either. Usually going for around £75 on eBay .
