Hiya I'm new here so bear with me and sorry if it's a bit of an essay!
I'm currently trying to find a pushchair that'd be suitable for my almost 2.5year old daughter and was seeing if any fellow mums have any suggestions?!
I'm on I think my 4th pushchair already but they all seem to break on me which is hardly surprising as I don't drive and theres a lot of uneven pavements/steps where I live...also walk around using the buggy about 4 hours a day - every day!
I recently had the Lola pushchair from Tescos direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-7713.aspx and the wheel came off of that! I've gone back to using the previous pushchair which is Maclaren Quest Sport but it's not the best of condition as wheels are worn down and problems with the break mechanism! I'm thinking of getting the same as everyone says Maclarens are the best but wanted to know if there was anything a bit cheaper as can only afford £100 at the very maximum!
Also I'd love something lightweight, has a pocket in the hood and preferably the carry shoulder strap (as my dentist and doctor are BOTH up stairs...also handy in general!).
Many thanks in advance xx

Hiya, there is so much choice out there but for your needs I would say something with big wheels would be better although generally it will be slightly heavier it will be comfier for you and DD.

Since you do a lot walking I would suggest something a bit more rugged or it will wear down quickly.

Would you buy second hand?

I got a Maclaren XT which has bigger wheels for £50 from Ebay which was good.

The Micralite Fastfold would be good for you as it has the big air wheels at the back but is compact and lightweight when folded.

I wouldn't get that one from Tesco, as it will break quite quickly.

I'm selling a black maclaren XT, only been used for 3 months and like new, only looking for £85 posted for it if you're interested. It's an ideal size for a 2 year old (I have one as well)

I'd go for a 2nd hand maclaren. Mine's 7 years old and I've used it without the brake for about 6 of those years. The wheels are ridiculously worn but it still works do bother (just not in snow!)

Hiya yeah I would buy second hand (I get all my clothes and some of my daughters clothes from charity shops lol). I've heard the micralite is really good I'll have a look at some thanks :-)
Yeah that tesco's one broke on me...wheel fell off when going down a curb with my daughter in I was so shaken up about it :-(
Also the Maclaren I am using at the mo is so knackered and only had a years use out of it they def don't make them like they used to! I think the snow wrecked it aswell as we had a lot of it here and was a couple of inces deep but had no choice other than to go out in it lol x

Or a 2nd hand mountain buggy breeze off ebay may be worth a look - apparently as useful as a "maclaren" type (as the Breeze is the compact MB), but build quality excellent and so should be durable. They were around £400 brand new - and currently are £199 in the sales section on the MB website - but they are much less 2nd hand so might be worth investigating. Don't think there's a pocket on the hood mind you. However the larger wheels etc might help on the uneven pavements and stairs.
