Hi All,
I wonder if you can help.
I am looking for a lighter weight pushchair to replace my britax vigour 3+. I posted on here a while ago and someone suggested a Baby Jogger City Mini, but I think these are going to be too expensive even on ebay, so I am back to the beginning :/
I am starting to this I am looking for the miracle pushchair!
I am looking for something smaller than what I have, so a stroller style/lightweight, sturdy as my LO is actually quite big, (29lbs at 14months!), upright as she likes to sit forward, but will recline (doesn't have to be full recline) and suitable for general use, but we also go on walks, but this is only woods, the park (so short grass), nothing too adventurous!

I have considered a maclaren, or petite star zia, but not yet convinced? I will consider any comments and suggestions, starting to think there is nothing out there and if there was one this ideal the person would be very rich!

Thank you :)

Hi, it's a mineifeld is'nt it!

I had a Maclaren XT but never got on with it as it did'nt feel as sturdy as it should have and I did'nt like the umbrella handles either as it meant it was very difficult when DS wanted to hold my hand.

The M&P Pulse seemed better if you want an umbrella fold.

The Micralite Toro is kind of the best of both worlds for a stroller, it folds easily too.

Mamas and Papas Luna/ORA is also a decent pushchair for the money.

Of the lot I would say the Toro would be the best as it has the big wheels at the back (remember to tyre slime air wheels to avoid punctures) and you can buy terrain wheels for the front if you were going on a nature walk or something but generally the ones on it are fine. :)

What is wrong with what you have.
I folds really well is light (lighter than most buggies)
easy to push, seat reclines.

The only down sides I can see is if you fold it in one it may seam heavy and the seat is quite high for you little one to climb in.

Your are not going to find something that is cheap, lighter than what you have. And easy to push on rough ground.

Some of the light pushchairs are very had to push especially with a toddler in tow.

I think it is best to have something easy to push that can fit everything in it for a day than having something really light that has know space to carry anything. For a day trip you lift it out of the car then in again at the end of the day.

As your baby get older the quite trips at the moment you use it for into a group from the car they begin to walk

Movingsoon - The one I have is bulky and heavier than most buggies/strollers, so I don't agree that it is lighter than most, well not what I have looked at briefly. Yep, I can fold it in one and it can be heavy, and I can take the seat off and put it in separately, which would make it lighter for that purpose but it does take up a lot of boot space/bus space. I don't have a toddler in tow, so I don't need to worry about that (phew!).
I do see what you mean about going out for the day, and think you are right that generally it is only once in and out of the car. I'm not necessarily looking for cheap (but not as expensive as BJCM can go for), but just less bulky, and more of a lighterweight stroller/buggy style.

Thanks upyourdiva, I will have a look at the options - you are right it is a real minefield, just like to try and spend wisely, hence needing advice!

I was just looking for some suggestions really, I know it won't be perfect.

Thank you. :)
