Baby Jogger City Mini or Quinny Zapp?

Can anyone help me decide? I have a Chicco pushchair (forgotten the name) that is ok but I would prefer one that folds up shorter than an umbrella style, and is a bit lighter. I think I've narrowed it down to between the BJCM and the QZ.

My son is 19 months already so I want this to be the last one I buy! (I'm sure I said that about the first one, but there you go)

I want to take it on the plane and be able to fold/unfold it really easily. It will live in the boot of my car when not being used so want it to take up as little space as possible. Do you have to take any of the wheels off when storing? Will most footmuffs work with these prams or will I have to buy yet another one?

Thanks if you can help. :)

I have a zapp and I don't think it's particularly easy to fold and unfold although it is very small and pretty light. Also I can't fold it with the footmuff. I would guess you could use any footmuff for it but not sure.

People seem to rave about BJCM's on here so I'd probably go for that.

I love my BJCM. It doesn't fold quite as small as the Zapp but I think it's a better buggy. It reclines for a start, and has a huge hood that works so well as a sunshade. It feels really substantial but is still very light, and the fold mechanism is genius.

You won't regret getting one, I promise!

Oh, nad it has a decent shopping basket. I'm not sure the Zapp has one at all.

Ooh, I'll have to get searching! Thanks for the advice, saoirse86 and Jojay.

if your going to be using it for holidays,i wouldnt go for a zapp.
i had one as my 'nipping to the shops' buggy lol, and it was fab, nice to push and my lo liked it, i found it no use for long days out/holidays as he could nap in it,but couldnt sleep properly.
any footmuff will fit it (i had a kaiser on mine and also a buggysnuggle and the proper quinny one,and it folded fine with all these on it (not quite o compactly though)

theres also the petite star zia, which is slightly bigger folded, but it reclines flat, you can usually pick these up very cheaply with matching footmuff etc,(babyvalue on ebay sell reconditioned ones pretty cheap)

I went to Boots today and they had on display a BJCM and a petite star zia, so I got to try them out. Went home and ordered a BJCM, partly because I couldn't work out how to fold the Zia. To be honest I think my mind had been made up before I went and the folding thing sealed the deal.
Thanks for all your help. :)

ah handy when you can try them out first,i know everyone on here raves about the bjcm, the zia has too low handles for me,so i went for an XT,
hope u love it :)

The fold on the Zapp is a grrr! But I do have wedge and underneath bags which hold a lot of shopping if you distribute it correctly. However I recently sold my Zapp Xtra for a City Mini and there really is no comparison. The City Mini wins hands dew. The new four wheel version looks really good too but it's not out until July / August.

I've had mine for a week now and just love love love it. :)
