ive got a 20 month old and am currently 27 weeks pregnant when this babys born my toddler will only be 2- i need a double pushchair thats suitable for a newborn and a toddler but i can only find the tandem buggies where one sits underneath i know these are popular but i really dont like them -i need it to be light weight with plenty of shopping space preferably in the old style i dont want 2 spend too much tho as my toddler wont be in it for that long -i thought about a buggy board but i think 2 is still a bit young for that i dont know ...help lol

Sorry, I don't know much about pushchairs but saw your thread unanswered.

My DC1 was 22 months when DC2 was born and I didn't want a double due to cost and not liking the P&Ts. I carried DC2 in a sling for 2 months or so, but then put them in the pram with DC1 on a buggy board which has worked beautifully. We used one of the buggy boards that they can sit down on (a Revelo Kidsit) which DC1 loves and is very comfortable with. It was a slightly more expensive buggyboard I think but lots cheaper than a double.

Hiya, we will have a similar age gap to you, and I'm looking at Mountain Buggy, or that Out and About Nipper. They are both side by side, so no baby staring at the underside of a seat.

As for lightweight, not sure about that one..... perhaps a Maclaren Techno or Triumph?

i had same problem am also 27 weeks pg and DD will be 25 months when no2 is born, initially i didnt want a phil and teds style one so i looked at the icandy pear and the baby city jogger select however DD is really big for her age and none of the seats in these were big enuf :( she wud have been uncomfy and out grown them,

i have finally bought one and after much deliberation i have gone for the britax B dual, the seats are nice and big hoods are huge it folds well and altho a similar style to the phil and teds the top seat can be both parent facing and away facing. i have been using it for just DD and it is the nicest pram ive had to push so far. and another plus is the price :)

I got a (pristine) 2nd hand Nipper 360 when DC2 arrived and love it.
It's really manouverable and lightweight to push with both DSs in and there's enough stowage for shopping.

It's a bit of a PITA to fold and lift into car but rarely need to take it out as it's mainly used for walks from home.

Has fitted through all doorways I've tried so far too.

Would highly recommend it.

oh and the seat lies flat for newborn which I liked

Second that, go for a nipper double, vie just got rid a p and t new explorer for a double nipper because dd1 was over weight limit for second seat on p and t and it was awful to push one handed when holding her hand on anything but a smooth flat surface, it gave me arm ache and sore wrists, the nipper is a dream to push one handed with dd2 in and it's super for sleeps, both girls slept in it other day on long walk home from a busy morning out, it glides over bumps, has a great hood and looks cool too and isn't like a tank as it's only three wheeler, espeshly with my age gap.....27 months...often dd1 walks but jumps in and out by herself and doesn't look too big in seat so when Its just dd2 in there it doesn't feel daft! I also have a single actually a bjcm which is fab for in the car boot, the nipper is def my walking pram and it's mostly just walked straight out the front door but it folds fine for my scenic car boot when needed for longer days out away from home, for info my just turned three yr old dd1 is just over 15kg and according to info I read online well within weight limits for nipper seats new models but was over the 15 kg weight limit for rear seat position p and t, also it was a pain getting her seat and a pain getting baby in rear seat, never had a door yet I can't get thru with double nipper.
