Pli, Bee or Bee plus??

Looked into importing a combi and too expensive. So may as well look at bees.

It has to be light, easy to fold and small for the bus and holidays, and my mums tiny boot.

dd is 14 months and small so do I really need the bee plus, is the 2009 just as good?

I assume that the Pli is a two parter and can't fold with the seat on?

This will be my last pram and I need to watch the budget as I'm selling stuff on ebay to raise funds.

I bought a B Smart...It was massive!!!

BEE+ is your best option - even if your child is 14m! It will last until they are in school - the seat extends so big.
It's a dream to push - you will LOVE it! (even if you end up using it mostly facing away - as we do when DS is awake - and we only reverse really at nap time or if DS is poorly and needs to see his mummy!)

I've had the Seed Pli - it's pretty big and not really "Light" - in the way the Bee+ or maclaren is. I do not like maclarens at all though - I think the seats are too small - and I cannot stand a 2-handed push.

The Bee+ just floats along - and is so nippy it's fab. Love ours.

I bought my Bee+ when DS was TWO!!! I expect to use it until he is at least FOUR - even if he looks huge - he will not cope with walking 6 miles a day plus other activities (the distances of the school run there and back twice a day added up). It makes such light work of a bigger child - it really makes them seem lighter than they are it's so easy to push and steer.

I highly recommend the Bugaboo Bee+ Smile

Smile thankyou was starting to worry that I may not get the use. Nice to here they are used heavily and still praised, I'd expect it to do a few miles a day too.

Is it light to carry? I don't mean for hours but for holidays, legging it through train stations?

Best way to carry for train stations is to leave the handlebar extended and fold - then hook the handlebar over your shoulder (as if it was a handbag handle - if you get what I mean. Wink

SAZM tried the Streety it does not fold RF .... after several wrestling attempts and a bruised shin, I can definitely confirm it isn't possible Grin

The old silver cross wayfarers were fab. Sometimes you find one in excellent condition on ebay. They often sell for under fifty pounds. In looks they range from the floral eighties look to the black more nineties ones that had hoods and zip on raincovers. I think the floral eighties ones are lovely! Questions to ask are. Does the locking clasp still work and are all the hub Caps still present. Sometimes the nuts on the frame need tightening up as do the seat clasps . Then a spray with wd40 . Fabrics can be washed. They are lovely to push. Can be folded rear facing and easy on the bus too.

Silver Cross Wayfarer on eBay - this one looks fantastic! (and inexpensive too!). Grin

Aren't they about 11kg though? I had thought about the old hauck galaxy too, but they're 10kg (wimp emoticon>

I recently swapped one of the black Wayfarer Lites via eBay for a Pop...Big mistake...Sold it as DD didn't seem to like it much and needed to reduce my pushchair collection...Also had a check design one that i used to deliver newspapers with, years ago...PS...The Lite was very misleading as it was the same weight as an original but the hood and apron were great improvements.

ah really, good job i didnt buy one then!!!! what is it that stops it????

Honeydragon · 26/02/2011 10:44

Unlike the Loola the bottom of the seat is fixed in a curve so it blocks the fold completely halfway.
