help! has anyone got a Bugaboo Bee?

help! we've recently got one of these for our newborn and are having some teething problems.

  1. Does anyone know if the seat is supposed to go completely flat (rear facing position, ie, baby faces the handlebar)? I am not sure if i'm doing something wrong as it's at a slightly tilted angle, but i can't seem to get it to go flatter?
  2. secondly, i'm having some problems collapsing it. i can't seem to get the seat to pull right forward to the handlebar, as the instruction manual shows - it seems to get stuck about three quarters of the way there, which means it doesn't collapse completely flat. I have managed to collapse it flat before, and don't know why it's now sticking. can anyone shed any light? 3)i can't find a customer service number for the company, except in the States. is there an office in the UK? i know i'm being really incompetent, but chronic sleep deprivation is my excuse! any help gratefully received.

The Bee Plus seat doesn't lay 100% flat...As for folding mines only been folded in the forward facing position so no idea if it 'looks' less flat folded rear facing.

thanks suzie. there's definitely something wrong with the way i'm folding it as i've done it before far more successfully and it collapsed down properly, so i know what it's supposed to do. at the moment i can only get it to semi collapse.
hopefully someone else will come along who's experienced this problem - i'm sure it's something minor.

To fold with seat rear facing first bring the seat back past upright to be parallel with the handlebar. Then push in the black button while sliding the white clips up the frame and the pushchair will collapse. To pull seat parallel with handlebars you only raise the white clip on rear of seat a fraction. Not all the way up like for adjusting seat position. I suspect this is where you are going wrong! If the seat back is only upright and not parallel with handlebars you will not be able to collapse the buggy properly. Please don't force anything or you'll break it! When fully reclined the seat is almost flat. This is fine for a newborn. The main thing you are avoiding is the child having it's chin resting heavily on it's chest so breathing could be restricted. Being ever so slightly raised above flat is not a problem. Hope this helps. X
