Parent facing double buggy- any suggestions?

Hello

We have just found out that DD is going to have a brother or sister in August :) She'll be 2y7m by then and so I think that we may need a double buggy for a little while. I've been looking on the web and most tandem buggies seem outward facing, and of a weird, low-slung design if the omnipotent P and T is anything to go by!

I would much prefer a buggy in which both DC's can face me, preferably with a carrycot option too (I love my Stokke Xplory and will mourn it's few months out of action!)

I've looked at the Verbruss Zoom, which looks amazing, but about the length of a Volvo.

Does anyone know of any tandems that would suit us?

Many thanks

No suggestions re buggies but would suggest that you wait til nearer the time to buy. You may find you won't need one. I didn't. DD was 2yrs 5mths and preferred to walk. Used a buggy board when she was tired. Would have spent much of my time pushing around a half empty tandem otherwise.

Good point. The problem is that we can't get a buggy board to fit our Stokke as it's too old so would mean buying another, newer one (not cheap!). I suspect that DD will want to walk much of the time too, hopefully she'll have sped up a bit by then!

I might be ready to sell my updated Stokke 2010 by then.
I love it but it's wasted in the boot of my car 5 days a week. If you private message me, i'll give you my details and see what you think of the idea nearer the time.

Excellent Mamatomany. I may well do that! Where are you based in the country?

I'm up North but i kept all the boxes as i feared this would happen. I have a spare brand new mattress too for the newbie.

Baby Jogger city select?

Toddler can face you and baby in carrycot, then turns into a single pram as well.

Looks long but I can get mine on a bus fairly easily.

did you know that a buggy board does fit a stoke. here it says it is a compromise fit but I have seen one on it round where I live and seams stable are pavements aren't great. The mum has a toddler in pushchair a bigger child on board and a sling so It must be stable as if it wasn't she wouldn't be able to push it
