Pushchairs/Prams that go with Maxi Cosi car seat

My OH and I have already got the maxi cosi CabrioFix car seat due to the limitations of my car forcing me to opt for this one. I now want a buggy that I can use with the car seat as I mainly go out in the car and really hate the idea of waking LO every time I get in and out.

So I'm wondering if anyone could give me a list of the different pushchairs I can use with the car seat as I keep finding more and this search is getting frustrating.

My list so far
Maxi Cosi pushchairs (obviously)
Quinny pushchairs - my OH have ruled all these out as they're "just a piece of metal"
The "My Choice" mothercare ones
Babystyle Oyster (?)

Any more?

Thanks

I'm fairly certain some of the McClaren buggies also go with the maxi cosi seats.

Any Bugaboo current or old model.

Babyjogger-fab pushchairs.

WaftyCrank · 28/11/2010 18:05

M&P Sola does. Use the Aton car seat adaptors.

Hi Catherine

I think all the icandy range is compatible (the cherry definatly is) & babystyle oysters are. You just need adapters which can be ordered with your pram. I was quoted £30 extra with icandy & £18.50 for babystyle in a shop but you can probably get them cheaper online.

I like the look of the Babystyle oyster as it is lightweight, has a large shopping basket & it's compact when folded. Its also foldable with the seat in which will be great when baby is older. Clearly expecting my first I might not be the best person to ask!

I thought the only maclaren to take a car seat was the Techno XLR and that takes the Recaro seat but could be wrong. Otherwise I'll be dead annoyed because I have a Maxi Cosi and a Mac!

SpikyBinkle · 28/11/2010 22:06

I love my Oyster.

SickOnMyShoulder · 29/11/2010 12:17

Baby jogger city mini is a fab car buggy (and everything buggy!) and takes a maxi cosi

BikeRunSki · 29/11/2010 12:22

Phil and Ted's Sport.

mnistooaddictive · 29/11/2010 12:29

Micralite range all do. I have a fastfold and love it but you may want to look at toro and superlite which gave been released since I bought mine.

Thank you for all your replies. I've been having a good nosey at them and really like the Icandy Peach. It is a little expensive though but I guess it would be nice to spoil her to one expensive baby item :)

I am a quinny caster for the Quinny Xtra - imho it is not just a pievce of metal. It is a really smooth ride and the only buggy my daughter has ever managed to sleep in! She loves it esp as it is forward and rear facing.

happyfairy · 08/12/2010 12:57

google maxi cosi adaptors and youll be amazed how many do:

obaby ones
petite zia ones
cossetto ones
silver cross surf
stokke
kiddiecare/mothercare own brand ones

saemla · 08/12/2010 18:34

I know the mutsy pushchair does with the right adapters. this one is very heard wearing as is the nountain buggy which also uses the maxi cosi ncar seat

HollyBollyBooBoo · 16/12/2010 00:57

Phil and Teds Sport although you do need to buy an adaptor which I think was about £25.

I can wax lyrical about my P&T if you want more info!

JennyKearney · 26/12/2010 19:44

We have the Quinny Zapp Xtra and it is simple to use with a Maxi-Cosi car seat (it also comes with the adapters you need!).

sriches · 26/12/2010 22:02

We orginally were looking at the Maxi Cosi pushchair as I wanted something that could easily cope with different terrains as we walk our dog lots and something that came as a travel system. It was perfect on paper but when I saw it noticed it was very big and bulky.
The Quinny Buzz 3 was next to it in the showroom and I immediately knew this was the pram for us. It offered exactly the same as the Maxi Cosi pushchair but was a smaller package. End of day Maxi Cosi and Quinny are same company.

For ease of use and for transferring you cannot go far wrong with the Quinny. We have moved on from the Buzz to the Quinny Zapp Xtra and yes although it is "a piece of metal" it is very substantial and very easy to use. For us my daughter's comfort is paramount any other advantages to a pram are a bonus. Very easy to use for a parent, both forward and rear facing, fantastic hood which pulls right over and you can use it with the Maxi Cosi infant seat. Defintely have a look at it before you rule it out completely!!

NinjaTurtle · 27/12/2010 12:21

The mothercare spin now has adapters for the maxi cosi. The pram is very easy to push and manoeuvre, folds down quite small, fits in our ford ka with a bit of jiggling around! It also comes with the foot muff and rain cover, has good suspension, DD falls asleep very easily in it, it also turns into a pram for newborns, which is very cosy.

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 28/12/2010 13:55

Out and about have maxi cosi adapters

Emo76 · 28/12/2010 17:50

Mamas and Papas Sola can take one -I have a Sola and am very happy with it!

PinkIsMyFavouriteCrayon · 29/12/2010 19:05

I have the mothercare My4 and will give you the pros and cons, hopefully it will be helpful!

Pros
1.Very easy to attach Maxi Cosi, no need to add adaptors ect
2.Very lightweight to push
3.Easily steered
4.Break is a big button so didn't scuff my shoes
5.Choice between parent/forward facing
6.Pneumatic tyres made for a very smooth ride
7.pretty colours to choose from (mine is red!)
8.All in one seat unit, goes from pram mode to upright very easy with a lot of choice of positions

Cons
1.Awkward to get in and out of car, have to take seat unit off to fold
2.When getting it out of the car you have to develop a knack of setting it up without dragging the handle along the wet ground
3.The material of the seat unit is not as lxurious as other prams, it's comfy enough but have to say I had some pram envy when looking at my friend's Silver Cross!

PinkIsMyFavouriteCrayon · 29/12/2010 19:07

Apologies for shocking spelling and grammar, it's amazing what one Magners does to you!

spikydahlia · 29/12/2010 20:42

Well I spent a fortune on my first travel system (Silver cross ) Now i'm expecting again and have bought a Phil and Teds sport. Hoping to get a maxi cosi cabrio car seat second hand to fit it. It all costs so much and nothing stays pristine for long. I'm very pleased with my Phil and Teds. Def the best pushchair for me if you have 2 in quick succession!!
