We brought a Jane Nomad Sytem for DC1 and it has been amazing - would highly recommend them.

Jaquelinehyde · 08/11/2010 22:13

Oooh can you link to them please?

Joolyjoolyjoo · 08/11/2010 22:16

I bought a jane something when dd1 was born. We have walked the dogs through forests every day since, and I only just retired it recently (6 years!) It was certainly sturdy and stood up to some serious off-road use. 3 dc later, it's grubby but still serviceable, so I would say it has been a good buy

nancydrewrocked · 08/11/2010 22:16

I had a Jane double which was useless.

Can't speak for the singles though.

CarGirl · 08/11/2010 22:17

My main complaint is that you can't wash the covers on most/all models as they have a piece of wood in them for the back support

Pancakeflipper · 08/11/2010 22:19

Ours broke after nearly 1 yr. Was not happy. I had loved it until that point.

They were very unhelpful in getting it fixed as were the shop ( we were willing to pay). In the end after too many phone calls we didn't bother and bought a buggy not by Jane.

littlemisslozza · 08/11/2010 22:24

Love my Jane slalom pro, great for country walks and fine in town too - it's so light to push it's far easier than a buggy IMO (my town has steep hills!), although wider.

My DS's have been so comfy in it, and there's room for both of them if I put the seat all the way down (DS2 sitting between DS1's legs) so it makes a handy double when the youngest can sit up and the eldest is tired.

Bradyboo · 09/11/2010 07:57

CarGirl - was that for the double? I have a single and put all the bits in the washing machine and come out as good as new.

Somedaysoon - I don't know if thehy make the Nomad any more as was 3 years ago I got it and think it's now been replaced

CarGirl · 09/11/2010 20:23

I've had a few different ones............

Deedle · 04/12/2010 13:20

We have a Slalom Pro and have loved it - we have taken it everywhere - fields, beaches, the city etc. We are now looking at a Powertwin as we have number 2 on the way. They do hold their value well so maybe a good second hand one would make them a little more affordable?

mumface · 05/12/2010 11:51

I love my Jane 360 powertrack, it's a good solid pram and really easy to push it's great over gravel, snow etc where my Cameleon and Maclarens wheels just get stuck. They are not available new now but I would reccommend a second hand one or this has been replaced by a nurse Dakar (nurse are made by same company Johnston prams) identical chassis but without the handbrake and much cheaper, Nurse dakar I've recently ordered new covers and the customer service was very good.

AitchTwoOh · 05/12/2010 11:54

loved my nomad, used it for yonks then passed it on to someone who has since passed it on so i still see it floating around here.

f1nut · 06/12/2010 13:52

iv had 3, sonic, slalom and nomad, just sold my slalom, majorly regret it now

mamadiva · 10/12/2010 15:57

I had an Energy and despised the thing, 10 months after buying it (£110) as a second buggy (used about 9/10 times) we gave it away for free, well I actually tried to throw it in a skip when we were on holiday but someone asked for it, the brakes were crap, the handles just about snapped off, the recline broke, the footrest was out of shape, the wheels locked/unlocked randomly and the folding mechanism was shite!

But that was a stroller type and have heard nothing but good things about their bigger pushchairs so just stay away from the strollers :o
