Joovy Caboose Ultralight

Has anyone got one of these? www.joovy.com/pages/pd_cabooseultralight.php

What do you think?

My DCs are 14 months and 2 and a half. I had a P&T but hated it and switched to a nipper which I loved. Sadly my youngest won't leave my oldest alone when I take them out in it now (grabs his feet, pulls his hair, pours juice on him etc...} so I've had to stop using it.

We've been using a buggy board and stroller but DS does gets tired after a while and wants to be carried plus is difficult to control in busy places as he hops on and off.

I saw the Joovy on ebay at a bargainous price and have bought it on a whim as it seems like it would be perfect for us but am now panicking in case I don't like that eitherConfused.

DH is a bit narked about the number of prams I've got through as it is so please tell me this is going to be 'the one'.

i would have got one of these

someone has one of those joovys at school and its massive for what it is!

Oh dear.

I did look at those boards but it still wouldn't solve the problem of DS hopping on and off - the joovy has a harness on the jump seat so he won't be able to.

Also I find buggy boards make it really difficult to push the buggy as you sort of have to stand to the side or bend right over to avoid kicking it as you walk.

Was it the one you linked or just the Caboose? The one you linked looked good as it looks shorted, but the normal caboose is slightly longer.

I had one similar to the normal caboose and it was ok, a bit heavy but that might have been because I had a car seat at the front. DS2 liked being able to hitch a ride on it when he got tired and it was great to push through the snow.

I spoke to a mum today who had the joovy and loved it. She wasnt at all surprised at me stopping her for a natter...she gets it all the time. She has twins and loves it.

ready2pop · 15/09/2010 20:43

it is the one I linked - the ultralight.

Thanks onadietcokebreak - makes me a bit less worried.

Should arrive by the end of the week so I'll let you all know what it's like.

Well, I have it and it is fab. Very light. Easy to push and DS can use it like a buggy board but sit down when he is tired or when I need to get on with stuff.

Not the prettiest to look at but so functional.

Brilliant!

I don't have a joovy - but do have a sit-n-stand - same style different make and model. Don't use it now but loved it when I was using it - big advantage over a buggy board and seat was that I could strap dd into the back seat. Also it was more sturdy than a pushchair and buggy board.
I did sometimes struggle with curbs when dd was standing on back as its designed for american streets and malls rather than uk pavements LOL.
I'm afraid it didn't stop the dds interfering with each other as they could still reach over and pull hair etc Hmm but overall good choice and does for a season of baby and toddler :)
