I've had to grudgingly sell my First Wheels City Twin as dd was quite uncomfortable in it - too squished in, so am on the lookout for another.

Any ideas?

Do you want side by side or behind? I have pushed a variety of doubles. For heavy would rule out maclaren, hard to push. The best side by side I have ever pushed is the mountain buggy, 4 wheels, all tyer type ones, and it just glides along, its huge though and not sure how foldable.

ALso I do like P&Ts. I have always tended to use it the wrong way round - heavier child on bottom, so they can get out and walk easily. Only prob with it is occasionally I have found it almost tipping over as I bump up on to kerb if I dont do it at a straight angle. And not much storage space.

I really don't like the P&T - we tried one before we bought the first wheels, and i hated it.

I'm not too sure about the behind type as i have back problems and always thought it'd be hard to push if dd was in front, iyswim?

Off to look up mountain buggy...

I love my MB and it easily copes with a not small nearly 4 year old and 2 year old

You want one made before they were taken over by P&T's though

Oh they look fab - not liking the prices much though, even on ebay they are pricey!

TBH i probably would only need a double til springtime anyway, she's eager to walk, and that's fine, but i like to have her where i can see her as she's a wanderer!

Mine was £200 on ebay, including 2 carrycots and duvets etc. The terrains are usually cheaper than the urban as has a fixed wheel (which was better for me and where we live)

I know someone got a new one from the old MB stock for about half new price but not sure where from. You would recover it easily on resale. I'll try and track her down and send her over Smile

I am the one Crispy speaks of - I bought mine from Winstanley Pram world was £400 with raincover and courier. I bought a moss green one but they also had red and black and white patterned ones.

Pushed out and about nipper too, but that was with twins in it (was tallulahbelles on heres twins Grin) and that was good, but not sure about how easy with older, also seen similar style p&ts side by side one, I mistook it for a nipper.

The nipper is okay but with both dd's in it (2yo and 6wo at the time)it was rather unstable on uneven ground.

I have lower back pain problems and new had probls from MB as pushes itself alot of time even with heavy 12mo (size of 18mo) in it and a 3.5yr old. If back problems would say to stay away from Maclaren then, it was the PULLing it back to get it to bump up on the kerb then PUSHing the back wheels up, ooh it was agony. Never had problems with P&Ts I think thats largely to do with the type of wheels as well. Although thats why I tended to put older child in back so could get out and walk, and hold on to strap.

Is toddler too young for buddy board? I suppose its coming in to a rubbish season for that too, better both in buggy under rain cover and you can walk fast to get in to dry and warm!

I've tried her with a buggy board and she hated it - wouldn't stay on, wouldn't hold on, kept falling off and it was very hard to push, so that was a no-go, really..

how about an easywalker duo or a teutonia twin? i am due dec and have a very large 2 yo. have tried him in the easywalker and he fits fine and assume he will fit in the teutonia as i have the single and the double is wider than the easywalker but can't see it to check. there are mountain buggy terrains on this site for 399 euro //www.babyjungle.nl and they will post to uk.

another nipper vote, I have a heavy toddler and borrowed a 6 month old to test it with and it's great, loads better than my P&T

Yep another nipper fan here too. It is brilliant so light and easy to push with my 2 and a half year old and 14 month old in it.

Also just bought a second hand one of these

As my DS no longer wants to sit still but does get tired on a buggy board after a while.

I had an urban detour double from mothercare which I loved....

Only downside is its quite wide but makes up for it in other ways, shopping basket big, sits comfy for newborn & toddler.

My Dcs were newborn and 2.5 when I first got it and I used it for well over a yr (I don't drive) and my oldest still fitted easily.

britax dual, my dd is two in feb and baby is due in ten weeks.we have gone for this as either child can sit in either seat once baby is older. And first child get a good seat while baby in in lay down bit on bottom. you can also use a carseat with it whilw having both kids in it. both seat lay down also.
