One hand push?

Looking at getting a new buggy. Here's the back story. We have a Bugaboo Frog which is in very good condition after use with our 1st born. She's 5 now and DS is 10 weeks. Still using the carrycot for him and will prob continue to use the Frog when we convert it to the pushchair.

What I want is an alternative for days when I can't be faffed to take the seat off the chassis to fold it all up, etc. Also, the Frog doesn't fit in the Zafira when all seats are in use.

Ideally, I'm looking for something that lies flat, is light and has a handle similar to Bugaboo. I need to be able to push with one hand as I use a walking stick. Oh, and I don't want to spend a fortune.

Does such a thing exist? Confused So far, I've liked the look of the M&P Luna Mix.

Bugaboo bee.

The 4 wheeled Lunas are a bit more sturdier than the three wheelers.

Would an old style Bugaboo Bee be within your budget, you can get them for a reasonable price now that the Bee+ is out. It folds with the seat parent facing as well.

I too would look at the older style bees. There are some reale bargains about and nothing really compares (in my experience-and Ive had LOADS) :)

A friend had the M&P Luna (4 wheeler) and she said it was a dream to push. I've got a different M&P buggy and can easily push it one handed even though it doesn't have the handle that goes all the way across.

Total lie-flat on it to, so perfect for littlies.

The Baby Jogger City Mini can easily be pushed with one hand, is very easy to fold and lies flat.

i have a frog that i love and will be using for baby no 5 due later this year.

for my 2yr old ds, who is HUGE and so too big for the frog i got an instep nipper 360 it is so lightweight and a dream to push, honestly i have to go across a field on the school run everyday and can push it with one hand over the field! folds up easily as well and you can get them easily second hand, they are about £180 new :) oh and it lies totally flat but obviously is facing away from you, that is the only reason i wouldnt use it for a newborn as it really is very good and is the only thing that has compared to my frog in terms of me being happy with it and useage etc and i have tried a lot of pushchairs Blush

the bee doesnt fit in the back of the zafira with the extra seats up. Probably the only thing that will is the baby jogger or a luna. You need something really flat folding thats not deep.

4madboys · 20/08/2010 20:10

the instep nipper folds flat, esp as the back wheels are quick release and literally clip on and off in seconds, we have a vw sharran and have a bit of a boot space issue when going away etc and that is what we do! :)

ruddynorah · 20/08/2010 21:29

ah that's a shame. it fits in an s max with the seats up so assumed it would be fine.

bettydoc · 21/08/2010 11:59

Thank you all very much! This is so helpful. I like the look of the Baby Jogger now too, esp. as it seems to be the one to fit in the car. Just to further complicate matters... what's the City Micro like? And would I be able to push the BJ comfortably? I'm about 5'2"/5'3".

I have the Britax B-Mobile and it does everything you are looking for. It's quite good to push one-handed. It's cheaper than a BJCM and is also a bit smaller.
