Stroller advice please

Hello all.

I'm so confused by the choice, so thought I'd turn to the experts! Smile

My little boy is one next week, and so far we've been really happy with his Icandy cherry.

However, we're now looking for a stroller for just going out and about with.

It will mainly be used for around town etc, but also may be used on buses/trains.

It needs to be simple to fold (as my mum will be helping to look after him when I go back to work, and despite showing her MANY times, she really can't get the hang of the icandy!)

So, I've had a quick look around and like the look of the maclaren techno xt. I also quite like the silver cross pop. Are they worth the money? They're much more expensive than the obaby for example.

What I like about the techno, is the way the footrest thing extends and folds back, but I'm not so sure about the way the back reclines.

Can anyone help shed some light on the choice for me? Please!

Thanks

Do you mean your not sure how the back reclines or that you don't like how the back reclines? I have a techno xt which I love dd4 is very comfy in it and it pushes well and looks great, however I fancy trying a bee before she gets too old!

If he's a year old a maclaren quest would be a cheaper option and be fine for him.

I have the Obaby Atlas Sport Plus.

The footrest on that is adjustable and folds back and the recline is easy. 2 buttons either side of the frame and down it goes. Completely flat too. I have a fleece lined cosy toes (just the liner bit though) and my Ds is very comfortable and sleeps lovely in it.

I like the window on the hood so you can still see little one and the pocket on the back is great for holding purse, mobile, key's.

It's light to push (with a very big 15 month old) I can easily bump it up and down 2 flights of stairs to get out/in of my flat with my Ds in it and 34weeks pregnant.

It has a carry handle on the side so good for transporting.

I have 2 friends with expensive Maclarens and both of them have borrowed my OBaby on more than one occasion because they prefer it.

And yes, Much cheaper.
