Hi,
We are looking at the bb-chameleon but am not sure. questions we have are;
is it heavy
is it good for a new born
is it easy to put up - down in a hurry
does a car seat fit to it
are the seats easy to change-take off
is it easy to manouvre in busy shops
will it lat until the baby is a toddler and save buying a buggy later on
will the garandmothers find it easy to use
or should i go for the icandy or another if so which and why a it is a minefield and the sales pitch is all the same please help as i want to make my life ant lo life easy and comfy
So add what you can where you can
thanks to all

I dont know much about the BB but I know it takes a maxi cosi carseat (I wont use anything but for my LOs) and I once watched someone struggling to unfold one in a hospital carpark, they were getting really frustrated.

Your best bet is to go in the shops and try out as many as possible... get a feel for what u like...make a list of requirements and bare them in mind when choosing!!

You cannot beat the bugaboo IMO, I have a Stokke because I fancied a change and that is great too, the Icandy felt heavy and wasn't as pretty IMO for the money. I felt the BB was a better investment, but still bought the Stokke

I am on my third baby now, due in September. With hindsight, I would just get a really good car seat, and then a light weight buggy that allows the baby to lie flat. The first part is over in a few months, and its the buggy that you will use for a a couple of years. We spent £600 on a Jane one and after a few moths bought a ligt weight buggy that was so much easier to get in and out of the car and also easier to push about the shops etc. Just make sure they can lie flat which is essential for 1st 3 months, and then is kind if they fall aleep you can lower them and make them comfortable.

We have put colour coded stickers and attached written step by step instructions to the buggy and Mum still can't do it

My freind calls me the Imelda Marcos of buggies cos I now have a jane, a Mclaren and a Phil and teds. Am tempted to get another one but really can't justify it I did buy the Phil and Ted one off e bay so not too bad ????

There really isn't one that does the job from birth to 4 yrs covering every eventuality though is there, heck i have one pram that's sole purpose is to sit in the kitchen to hold the baby whilst i cook

Hello

I only have the one baby, so am perhaps not as qualified as mums who have more than one!

I am having huge problems with our Mamas and Papas pushchair at the mo, so please be careful of buying a pram from there - they sound good and say all the right things, but I have now been without our 3 wheeler (Sport 03) for nealry 9 weeks. Having done research online, I have found there is a recurring design fault, which of course M&P are denying (faulty wheel barings on larger wheels). It is now going down the legal route and has been really annoying as I have a dog to walk, and the weather has been too hot for the sling.

Steer Clear of M&P - I am not being a moaning minnie, I just dont' want a new mum to have to go through the hastle which I have been through

if you want one buggy to last from birth you should check out bugaboo bee plus, baby jogger city mini, maclaren XT, mamas and papas luna (these 3 don't reverse but fold nicer and cheaper than bee plus) and the new quinny zapp xtra

IMO, cameleon is great!
It is not heavy.
It is perfect for newborn: ds slept in carrycot part often, easy to take round house!
Easy enough to put up and down, and I am terrible at that kind of thing.
Maxi cosi car seat fits to it with adaptors, found them a bit tricky, but didn't go in car that much.
DH changed seats, so can't comment (see above about being rubbish theses things!)
It is very easy to manouevre in shops, it is light and easy to steer. Also has suspension so dc won't wake up on bumpy ground.
Buggy part is good and big for toddler, and relatively easy to use, so should be ok grannies! It also has an adjustable handle, which we found handy as dh is v tall and my dd wanted to push it too. Don't work for them but loved my pram!
