Plumbers question

Hi all,
would a newly qualified 'gas-safe' plumber be as good as a longer established one? On the one hand, they should be up to date with training and new stuff, but on the other hand they won't have so much experience etc. Anyone got any thoughts? Cheers!

I'd go for experience - we once used someone newly qualified and it was hopeless, he couldn't think outside the box. If the layout of the bathroom wasn't exactly like the one he had practiced on in college, he fell apart.

That's kind of what I'd wondered. Any one else chosen experience over newness?

I would go on recommendations alone TBH. Ask around amongst friends and neighbours to see who they recommend.

Just because someone has years of experience doesn't mean that they're not going to mess you about, cock it up or just do a poor quality job.

That's true Norbert! Getting tradespeople you trust is probably half the battle...
