We agreed an offer on the sale of our house and the buyer sent a surveyor today. my nanny said he was there for 2 hours! I am now paranoid he found loads of things wrong with our house that will be used to get the price down!
do you guys have a view if this length of time is normal? our house is normal victorian house, with a loft conversion (5 beds, 3 bathrooms)
would be gutted if i had to go back to drawing board!

2hrs is how long they were at ours and they didn't find anything. I think thats how long it takes.

Ours took 2.5 hours so I think it's normal. We have a Victorian 3 bed plus loft room.

He was VERY thorough, and I was paranoid that he would find something - but it seems there was nothing major. The estate agent said there are always lots of little things on a house of this age, and most buyers will not be put off. It is a nervewracking process though!

Our 4 bed Victorian semi took this long and he found no significant problems.

Was probably a homebuyers - we had a buyer who had this type of survey and it took 2 hrs.

We had a survey done on the house we are buying (and living in!) a few weeks ago. Surveyor said things quite quiet at the moment so he was in no rush!!
