Need help with selecting a range cooker...

...that won't break down within 12 seconds. According to different review sites, most Britannia, Smeg, DeDietric, Flavel, etc.etc. are utter junk as the repair is madly expensive and parts hard to find.
Looking for a 90 cm dual fuel free standing cooker. Anyone who owns such trusty and hardworking beastie, please do point me to the right direction! Also, which ones should one definitely avoid.
Not really fussed with the make as long as it's reliable.
All advice greatly appreciated!

I have a Smeg and wouldn't recommend it particularly although it hasn't broken down. the oven doesn't heat very evenly.

MIL has a cranberry rangemaster which is lovely apart from the grill being teeny tiny.

Just wondering if the Rangemaster Toledo 90 is still going strong for everyone or is there a new cooker out there thats recommeneded

We have the Rangemaster professional plus 90, and we love it.

We have a rangemaster 90 in black. Yes, it does get a bit dusty, particularly the hood but its not problem just running a cloth over it. It gets a lot of comments because it does look nice. BUT it really runs no better than our old, hideous Belling and the grill is rubbish, it seems cheap and poorly designed.

We had a rangemaster for 6 years in our old house and I loved it. We are doing the kitchen next year (in the new house) and will be getting another one. Nothing compares.

We've got a black rangemaster 90 and we're leaving it behind when we sell.
It looks good but never looks clean particularly the hob and I always set the smoke alarm off when I grill things!

I'll prob get another one though as cant afford what I really want which is an Everhot!

I currently have a falcon and a Wolf and used to have a Brittania - all are very good and have been happy with all of them too !

Mm, really interesting thread. I just bought a Bertazzoni range to go in my re-vamped kitchen. Only bought a new cooker because I thought we could have something a bit smaller (ie 100cm, not 120cm) and worried that my 17 year-old range would soon give up. Thought the Bertazzonit would be great - oops, bad decision!! I'm now trying to get my money back (and return the cooker), it's a nightmare. I cannot live with this cooker for the rest of my natural life, 4 weeks is enough. Never realised how great my Cannon Icon was until I gave it away...
