Would like to do wet room (no shower tray) but have a door on the shower enclosure. Can't seem to find any. DO you know of anywhere I could find one?

Oh yes cphart is a good supplier.
You might be able to get a good deal on Matki from an on-line supplier, I think they arent allowed to advertise their prices on the internet but I think it might be worth making enquiries if you like the style.

Your other option it to use a local glazier to make up up a surround for you, woudl be much less expensive...

Thank you so much Pannacotta. Very helpful.

Ordered a Matki for a reasonable 2k from CP Hart today. One of the EauZone ones

I love that one, is the one I am hankering after....
Was that a good deal TDiddy (a not sure of normal RRP), did they give you a good discount?

TDiddy · 21/05/2010 20:40

Pannacotta- These used to be about 3.5k in 2006 apparently. No, I didn't get any special deal; must be competition and new models that have pushed prices down.

Thanks for letting me know TDiddy, am hankering even more now I know they dont cost as much as I thought...

Are you planning to redo bath room?

OP posts:
Pannacotta · 22/05/2010 14:46

Yes, we're doing the family bathroom first and then a master bathroom (not en-suite but for me and DH only, no mucky small DSs!).

Am not having much inspiration at the mo though, cI an't decide between very modern (which would prob look a bit odd in our slightly quirky Victorian town house) or classic, which would work better but is less practical.

If you have any ideas do let me know.

The EauZone would be for the master, but with a shower tray...

Why not get the Dolphin man to come by and do you a £D plan. YOu will have to sit through the sales pitch but he will leave you with a plan, diagrams etc.

We have Edwardian house and initially decided modern but we are now back to more traditional design. We are using the Eauzone for wetroom but with curved handle so that bit will be traditional. We will not try too hard to be traditional but just slant the accessories that way. For example we are using the the Mira Montpellier Thermostatic Mixer Shower with large deluge rose see here

I think that the trick is not to try too hard for the traditional features but just do enough to slant the decor that way.

Happy to email you a copy of what the Dolphin man will produce for you so that you could see whether it is a worthwhile exercise. It took about 4 hours of our weekend to go through it all with the Dolphin man!

Thinking of Jasper Morrison WC Think that this could be passed off as subtley traditional or atleast not clash with traditional decor.

Thanks for your advice/links.
I think that 4 hours of a weekend not really do-able at the mo - DSs are too demanding! -also our local Dolphin branch has closed, but there are some decent bathroom showrooms who could help.

I like the J Morrison loo and your shower, very elegant styles.

We have a classic bath/shower mixer and taps which I bought cheaply from our plumber, not too sure what to match them with in terms of basin/bath etc.
They are like this

Any thoughts what would work well? The shower you linked to would look great, but am not too keen on the overhead styles...

TDiddy · 23/05/2010 21:41

Thanks for your kind words.

I like your shower mixer end.

Agree about overhead types. The overhead bit is just a period feature to make the shower look traditional and we would almost always use the other outlet.

Will let you if i come up with anything inspirational.

Yes, salemen like Dolphin tell you it will only take an hour or two but it soon becomes 4 hours.

Did you look anywhere else for ideas?

Am finding it hard to work out what we should go for, DH isn't very involved so am having to make all the renovation decisions, have recently become a heating and plumbing nerd, which is not something I am very proud of!

TDiddy · 23/05/2010 23:16

Pannacotta - nothing other than magazines (Period Homes), internet, Mr Dolphin and the odd show room + arguments with DW.
