Wooden tongue and groove panelling in a bathroom?

Would this work? I have seen it in some magazines, but a friend said they had it in their old house and was difficult to clean, held the damp etc.

Is it possible to have it properly treated?

are you going to paint it? if so, try green (wterproof) mdf, we have it nd it looks great.

I have it, and love it. Spent months looking for the right tiles but kept coming back to tongue and groove - mine is painted F&B Blackened and is very seasidey and lovely

this is what i like. it is something called easipanel. The bathroom suite is very similar to what we are getting too

I have no idea about whether it can be treated but I love the look of it

we have it. i think it warms a bathroom up. just paint with bathroom paint and bobs your uncle

I love the look of panelling but we had it in our old bathroom and I probably wouldn't have it again as the dust seemed to cling to it.

Although I would consider it if the finish was smooth and you could run a damp cloth on it.

It is lovely. We have it in our bathroom. If it is painted it is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth.

Dust? In my house?

We are lucky that our whole bathroom is being redone, so as we live in a victorian terrace house we wanted to have it traditional but without looking old fashioed iyswim? The suite we are getting is very similar to the one in the picture, and we have a cast iron fireplace in there too. Going to put a shower in over the bath though, so would really like to have tiles up the wall. Do you think shower screen or curtain?

We had it in the bathroom in our last house. I absolutely loved it. Much warmer feel than tiles. Love the look, too. And the fact that you can repaint to freshen it all up whenever needed.
