Any ideas on where to buy a new back yard gate?

We are just about to sell our house but need to get a new gate for our back yard as the bottom is rotting away. We live in one of those 2 up 2 down terraced houses with a wall at the bottom of the yard and a full length gate iyswim. I have looked in B&Q and door shops etc but can't see any. Will we have to get one specially made?

We have a similar gate in our yard. DP made it. He's not a joiner but is quite handy with planks of wood & nails.
Do you know anyone handy at DIY?
I don't think a joiner would charge much to make a basic gate from vertical planks of softwood with horizontal & diagonal cross pieces, and then hang the new gate.

We had a local joiner make ours a couple of weeks ago, it cost £70 and took him about 2 hours (including a trip out to buy the wood and bits). I was very impressed and think I'll be getting him back to do one for the front patio next month.

I got a new gate from a local fencing supplier company. Found it in yellow pages. Or have you tried Wickes?

wickes have lots of tall gates

Thanks everyone. Intergalactic - £70 is very reasonable - wouldn't mind paying that at all. Will have a look first though for fencing supplier - hadn't thought of that!
