Underfloor heating in kitchen - is it worth it?

I know there have been a few general threads about this but we are renovating a cottage and retiling the kitchen floor, and wondering about electric ufh. We can't have the watery kind. There are low beams in the kitchen and we are wondering whether 'losing' another inch of height is worth it for the benefits of the underfloor heating. Any thoughts?

tbh i don't think that it's worth it
i also live in a period cottage and tho reduced height and quirkiness is a feature and part of the charm(tall people have to watch the beams in the bathroom lol) it's essential to remember that you may well be alienating people when you come to sell
i would be inclined to concentrate your efforts into restoring the original flooring or looking into reclaimed tiles/boards as if it's anything like my home it'll be pretty toasty in its' own right

Thanks, aseriously.

No hope of restoring original flooring as was ripped out before we got it - have had to remove the damaged seventies tiles that were there and there is just a concrete screed underneath.

I know this is a very boring topic but anyone got any further thoughts? Is it dear/efficient/really nice?
