White high gloss kitchen units - madness or good decision?

We are in the process of extending our kitchen and getting to the very exciting stage of needing to make decision on the style etc.

I keep getting drawn to white high gloss units - I think they look gorgeous. Our current kitchen is cream and the rest of the house is quite cream with lots of wood. The new extension will however open up the back of the house with two big folding doors, so more modern.

Tell me would this decision be cleaning madness with 3 DCs (aged 8, 5 and 2) or should I go with it?

Good decision. We have them and a 2 year old and they look great and don't actually show up finger marks etc that much.

Had them here for 4+ years and they always look immaculate. (Unlike the rest of the house )

They really don't show any marks.

We have wooden work tops and splashbacks to offset the pristine look of it.

I'm just

I have to wait 2 years for mine!

I'm too. Having such problems trying to even buy a house I haven't even got a space in mind to start planning.

I'd go for the white high-gloss too.

You lovely people, thank you for your positive reinforcement!

I spoke to a friend at work today who said how bright and clean they always look. She has had her white kitchen for nine years and it still looks great and would buy white again.

I like the idea of off-setting the white, also that you can match it to any colour scheme and change it.

I have been desperate to get onto the kitchen buying stage so this is very exciting. Too many meetings about steel joists have gone before this. This time the builder, foreman and architect had an hour of me talking white vs non-white!
