Surely, she says in a naive way, if you have double glazing you don't get condensation on the inside of the window? Do you? Or have i got big problems on my hands?

You probably need to ventilate by opening the window in the vent position.

(Well it works for me). DH muttered something about warm air on cold glass when I asked him about it before.

Condensation can happen inside double glazing. We have a humidity problem in our house and ditto the neighbours on either side. Apparently it got worse after the houses had cavity wall insulation done. Minimise your moisture by keeping bathroom and kitchen doors closed, don't dry washing in the house and use extractor fans. Put windows on vent when you can and mop up condensation.
