What is the consensus on F&B's Cokking Apple Green?

It always seems to be in house porn pics and I am now considering it for my newly plastered and beautifully smooooooth kichen.

How grey is it? I want something that is fresh but not acid, if that makes sense. It is to go with cream coloured units and tiles.

From the rest of your post I gather that is a typo in your header rather than a criticism?

The tiles are Fired Earth Moustier lilac - a sort of greyish lilac (sounds HIDEOUS, but actually very lovely).

love the colour, thinking about having it in my pantry, but cant decide what tiles to have, so may have to sneak a look at yours (if thats ok!)

Why of course. We had the same tiles in our old kitchen (after much wringing of hands and trying to find cheaper-but-as-nice), overordered wildly and ended up with a box and a half left over. Got the extras we needed in the sale, at 50% off, so I feel a personal attachment to them now. They are lovely.

currently a dumping room. rather spookily with meat hooks... but have high hopes for having it nicely tiled with shelves covered in oilcloth and cooking apple green on the walls of course.

Hi. We used Cooking Apple Green in our south facing bedroom in our old house. It looked really fresh - even for a F&B colour! When we moved, we decided to paint our north facing kitchen with it. Thankfully, I painted only a tester space because in north facing light, it looked like dark,dreary acidic sludge. So, in short, how the colour will look depends on the light in your room. I can't recommend strongly enough that you try out a tester pot first. Happy decorating!

Ah good to know mussyhillmum. I learned my lesson after buying a whole pot of one of the yellows only to have to redo it - 20 quid down the drain.

The kichen faces west, but it's a basement flat - fairly open all round - like a sort of lower ground rather than a basement proper iyswim, but might find it's too dark. I remember trying ballroom blue in my old hallway after a friend recommended it and it ended up looking so depressing I nearly slit my wrists.

If you find cooking apple green is too dark, Teresa's Green is a nice, lighter alternative.
