What possible reason could there be for me to have no water upstairs (but water downstairs)?

Leak? But presumably you would have spotted.

A blockage.

Mains fed, cbm. I'm not aware of a leak, though the other half of our semi has sounded like their outdoor tap is trickling all afternoon - surely their water wouldn't affect ours though?

Might effect the water pressure. In our old house which was main fed the pressure was always lower in early evening when everyone in the street had kids in bath and came home from work!

Do any of your neighbours have a problem?

Not sure if anyone else has a problem; I will ask after dinner.

If the upstairs loo was blocked in the pipe, could that stop the water? (another theory!)

We certainly have rubbish water pressure anyway - always have to flush the loo multiple times.

The trickling has stopped as next door just got home and must have turned it off. It hasn't made any difference to our water though . We only have the one loo as well!
