Can anyone help me find a bathroom cabinet please?!

I have searched and searched and can't find the one that is quite right!

**Can't be white wood or steel or rattan or have a mirror

**Must be free standing and 80cm or less high

**Must not be able to see contents of cabinet

It's to put toiletries inside and other junk that needs hiding. My bathroom is a bit spa like and ideally the cabinet needs to be in some sort of woody colour so that I can get a matching duck board.

If you can find that for less than £150 I'll weep with joy!

Have you looked in Ikea?.

I have one that I am geeting rid of (unused ) in pale grey blue metal, with doors that close, no mirror, can't see what is inside. I think they still do simialr. Not wooden I'm afraid.

I looked in ikea and on their site it all looks a bit bedroom-y?

Maybe by the floor cabinet from this collection and saw the top section off so that a) it is right height and b) there is nothing on display?

Not really fussed on that bamboo one, might look better in the flesh perhaps. But the others wow!!! Next and BHS, didn't even know they sold nice home stuff.

Is £140 for a bathroom cabinet a bit excessive though? DP seems to think so but I've looked for so long they all seem to be about that or more. Never had to buy bathroom stuff before as always rented!

M&S also do a cheapish one but it's a few centimetres too high

The other option I've considered is a cube like laundry bin then putting baskets inside that you can lift up and down. A cube shape would fit the size better.

Do you think it sounds like a faff though?

I guess it depends if you are naturally tidy or not. If it were me, teh baskets would end up sittign on top of the cube, with things spilling out of them all over the place.

Is 80cm your absolute max height?

I'm a neat freak sadly! I think I could go above 80 - the sill is 80cm so it could go higher depending on what it was.

Also does anyone know where I can get a nice bathroom mirror? Don't want it to have a light and don't want it to be circular

It needs to be quite plain but not too plain (?!). The ones that are completely plain look a bit cheap and then the others have so many lights they look like they have been on pimp my mirror!

Don't want to spend more than a £100 ideally. Not sure if it's viable though! This is the closet one I have found to what I want but still not sure.

Thanks MaryHuff, I did see that one. MY bathroom is quite small and I'm worried all the wood might be a bit "matchy" and plain glass might soften it a bit?

navvyeyelash, if you want plain glass mirrors, try a local glaziers's hop.

We did this and they made me up two plain glass mirrors for about £15 for both. They'll do any size you want and polish the edges for you in whatever style you want.

Ohh that's great thanks doozle don't know why I didn't think of that there is quite a good mirror and glazer place by me. Does it need to be anything special due to moisture in the bathroom do you think?

No probs. It's much cheaper way to do it than any chain store plus you get exactly what you want.

Well we got ours for a bathroom and didn't mention anything special. And has been fine.
