My dh job relocated to Wolverhampton 7 months ago and after many months of looking at areas we like Stafford. Our house went on the market today so we just need to sell it now. We currently live in Kent and this fells out of it for me as i originally come from London. We have no family or friends up there so i am a little apprehensive - please come and tell me nice things about it!

I did wonder how things were going, great to see that things are sorted for you.

Nice place you are moving too aswell, i shall have to keep an eye out and see if i spot anyone who has a "mumsnetty" look to them .

It is a nice county and surprisingly green, with a surfeit of stately homes! Lichfield is lovely.

Don't know much about Stafford itself but at least there is a theatre.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me here. we are thinking of relocating to Stafford. I am a mum of 2 young children.
I am torn between Stoke on Trent and Stafford. although Stoke fits with budget but Stafford seems high on rent compare to Stoke.
please I would appreciate peoples honest opinion about the two.

I'm from stafford - I grew up there and I've still got family there that I visit weekly. I think it's a lovely county town with lots going on. Stoke is nice in parts and other parts are quite rough and run down - the urban myth is that staffordians are stuck up and stoke people are very friendly - there may be some truth in this but I've always found stafford a friendly place.

What do you want to know Kelly about stafford?

KellyB35 · 05/04/2017 20:34

Thank You Nell. I just wanted to know if it is a friendly environment and not rough to live. But you opinion has really helped. Thank yo
