Single skin porch wall letting damp in

We got a new window and replaced the roof of our porch only to discover that the original wall is single skinned and there are damp patches all over our newly plastered/painted walls. Its so disappointing. Anyone we have asked has just said to spray the outside wall with sealant and keep a heater on to dry it out. This hasn't worked. There must be another solution. Ideas anyone?

I think you can get damp sealent for the inside walls as well, gotta be worth a try?

I never thought of that. Will look into it.

Dense latex foam with a fibre glass face is available for internal DIY wall insulation (eg. Sempatap 10mm foam). It is can be bought in rolls and glued to the wall rather like wallpaper.

I did this to what used to be a coal shed that's now part of the house and it worked a treat and it also soundproofed it.
