Right. I have posted before and was going to go for indian white dulux for cabinets and regency grey dulux for the walls. But all in all as it's so dark, I don't want to make it chilly PLUS gloomy grey room.
The room is very small..Rectangular, kitchen on one side (with cabinets), The other side has huge wooden floor to ceiling built in storage wooden cabinets with computer work area..(with fridge on the left). And we have small table in the middle where we eat. It's already a bit of crampy space. I want warmth and calm and order but cheery as well. If I'm painting all the woodworks, kitchen cabinets and wooden cabinets same colour white, which colour should I choose as that colour will dominate the room more than the wall colour (there hardly any wall...except little bit above the worktop..and maybe top strip..). WHY IS THERE SO MUCH WHITE TO CHOOSE FROM!! arghhh
sorry really pulling my hair out cos DH won't help and just will say he wants white but not yellowish white.

First off overhaul your lighting and treat yourself to some chrome accessories too to reflect light. Also remove anything to fussy or heavy from the window.
I'd consider overhauling the worktops and flooring too depending on their colour / condition and your budget. Changing the handles is a cheap way to overhaul a kitchen too.
Otherwise I'd probably go for white units and either white walls with the largest free wall painted a feature colour or various shades of the same colour on the various walls (leaving cabinets white). I'm very into neutrals, so I'd probably go for coffee type colours - but I would have thought any foody-type colours would be the best to go for (Anna Marice always went for pistachio type colours).
Or maybe you could paint everything white and then splash the cash on a brightly coloured glass splashback and a matching pendant light over the dining table?

Just read all your posts - would personally avoid clash of woods - beech and oak. Worktop sounds quite light, so would say leave as is.

okay no oak handles.. cabinets coffee type white.?? any specific colour.. you know which white any names brands?? I'm not touching the worktop. Lighting is good idea. Indian white seemed too bluey. white cotton is too (oooh I'm white look at me white white)

dulux morning light and desert wind from the light and space range

Chalk white in the Dulux colour mixing range is a lovely white with a tinge of pink. It doesn't look at all pink on the wall but does seem warmer than just white.
