need to paint bannisters, rails, skirting boards, doorframes etc in my house.

need to be able to paint it loast thing at night and for it to be touch dry by the time the children get up in the mornings.

if i could i would pack the kids off for two nights and get it done then, but thats not practical.

Most gloss or eggshell should be touch dry in that amount of time.

I have just used Dulux water-based satinwood in my living room - it is relatively low odour (compared to normal satinwood or gloss) and dries in a few hours. Good coverage too.

it's this one

Any water based satinwood should be completely dry by the morning - and less fumes too (am I right in thinking one of your dds has asthma? so probably best to stick with water based)

Bramshott · 21/10/2008 16:49

Anything water-based is quick drying. We use Farrow & Ball water-based eggshell and it's very good.

yes 2 are astmatic.

did try and get dh to take them all away overnight but dont think he is up for that lol.
