BEADING or replacing skirting boards to cover wooden / laminate flooring gaps?

Beading is the stuff that is put down on edges of wooden (or laminate) flooring to cover the expansion gap between flooring and wall.

I can't make up my mind whether to get beading put down or to remove then replace skirting boards to cover the gap.

Anyone had beading put down and like it / thinks it looks okay ?

Thank you

Replace the skirting every time, beading doesn’t look as nice.

Agree, beading looks cheap / bodge.
Replacing skirting is more expensive but a much superior finish.

(I am was buying a house that had beading I would asume everything else was done poorly!)

Put new skirting boards n it gives a neater finish. Beading doesn't look good.

We managed to remove skirting recently and reattach so potentially that’s an option, depending on whether you are planning to redecorate.
