Watching with interest as we are currently in the same dilemma. Quick step laminate but undecided between a herringbone or straight plank. Who would have thought choosing flooring would be so difficult? 😂

But we have spent savings on having building work done and regretting the flooring is an expensive mistake to make which is why we are struggling to make a decision.

Quickstep Impressive Classic Oak Natural planks - a quick pic of the hallway. It's a bit lighter during the day normally, but it's so hot and all the curtains are drawn.

I really like it, nearly didn't get laminate but it's great, has texture and 'feel'.

We’ve got Soft Oak planks. They’re lovely but they do need a good deep clean in all the ridges once a year (probably more but it’s hard work so we only get to it once a year!). We use a firm scrubbing brush, pink stuff and hot soapy water. This was it when first laid; it’s still in fab condition five years later.

Herringbone is beautiful but I think it will look a little dated in a few years, like panelling. Each to their own though!

Ooh this looks lush. We currently have the same kind of kitchen and colour but this colour goes really well. When I look at the soft oak on their website though the shade looks much darker. 🤔I guess its just the lighting maybe? Will be popping into the local flooring shop tomorrow to seek this one out to look at a sample. Thanks for sharing this.

I think the same, this is why we are not doing herringbone, even though we both like it. I think in a year or two everyone will be fed up of it and it will look dated whereas the straight planks are pretty timeless.

Another reason I won't do wall pannelling or have a black shower 😂

Thank u v much for the replies. They both look fab! The soft oak def lighter in real life. It is so hard to choose! I am totally with you re the herringbone! This is my freshly sprayed kitchen (a blind is closed in that pic but usually gets loads of loght as south facing). The samples are lightest- giner oak, darker nutmeg oak(though looks lighter in real life) adn the long plank is the ivory oak. I've bored myself looking at them!! Not the best pics !

I have that flooring and the same tiles, thought I was looking at my own house for a minute 🤣

The fitter did say that choice was very popular! :D The tiles were end of line porcelain, maybe you have the main order?! ;)
