If you get the bit out that needs replacing , measure its height and depth and that will narrow your search. I had to replace Victoria skirt at only found about 4 matches in wood (didn’t want mdf) and chose the closest match. Once it’s painted up the minor differences in style aren’t noticeable. Are you fixing it yourself?

Thank you @aLogLady yes replacing it ourselves . Really struggling to find a match .

It’s called ‘ovolo’.

Buy MDF, it’s easier to work with and reliable quality.

Ours had to meet two custom cut corner pieces carved by skilled Victorian trades 🫣 hah I ended up taking a dremmel to mine and cutting and recutting till it could jigsaw puzzle in. I was heavily preggo hence not wanting to breath in mdf so I was glad of choosing wood. Perhaps just being overly cautious! You’ll be very proud of it once it’s in! :)

That’s a
Lambs tongue skirting

The style is still made if you take a mould or dimensions of it you could try to match it up

There is nothing in your pic to show scale, but I have a feeling it is a tall skirting from an older house.

If so you are unlikely to find an off-the-shelf match.

When I lived in a part of London prone to renovation and restoration, owners wanting original features would try to get them from skips and builders ripping them out.

A local timber merchant with a spindle cutter occasionally made up a batch when they had enough orders. This is how the originals were made. A district with a lot of Victorian houses often has many hundreds built using standard components from the same local or regional makers.

I have known a fitter make up a small amount using a router, which is quite slow, and it can be done using a combination plane. If you can find a local woodworking enthusiast, he can make some, or a joinery works that makes things for the restoration trade (stand back when you ask the price).

Lambs tongue as pp said. Classic 1930s.

I thought Ovolo was different but the pp’s link to Ovolo at skirtingonline definitely matches and also has it in a variety of sizes so you can match existing.

No
lambs tongue isn’t 1930s
That property is definitely older aswell
Skirting’s in the 30s were smaller

This skirting is Victorian / Edwardian
