Heat pump in a Victorian house

Seen a house today that we love and want to offer on, but slightly wary as it has a heat pump that appears to be installed around 10 years ago (agent will confirm).

House Is late Victorian and has a lot of work done when previous owners moved in, including new rads and heat pump and new skate roof. Waiting for more details from the agent but wondering how effective to insisted is in an older house, and whether the system will need replacing soon?

No grants available and nervous about taking the house on and having the system fail, we wouldn’t have £10k to sort it. Would this be covered by building insurance?

Thanks

No advice on the heat pump, and I mean this in the least patronising way possible, but old houses have a habit of costing a lot of money. They’re absolute money pits. So if you don’t have a buffer for unexpected bills then it might cause you issues later down the line. Just speaking from experience!
