Niche question about induction hobs

We are really having a hard time getting this question answered so as a last ditch I’m wondering if anyone here has any experience!

we’re about to order a kitchen. I’d like an induction hob sat on top of a double built under oven but the quartz worktops we were planning are only 200mm (rather than 300mm) has anyone done this successfully? Looks like there may be clearance issues which basically means I can’t have a double oven as there’s not enough space between the hob and oven.

anyone have any experience?

My understanding is that you may not have sufficient airflow to cool the hob. Don’t know if you could then use them both simultaneously. I think that you need an expert fitter.

We had the same issue and moved the oven but i am pretty sure that it would have actually been ok. You need to download the specs for the hob and the undercounter oven and either ask your kitchen fitter or look at both and work out if they will fit together.

Thanks. I’ve been looking at specs for a lot and don’t think it’s possible :( I have nowhere else for an oven so I’m going to have to choose between the double oven and the induction. Currently there’s a double oven & gas hob but worktop much thicker

We have two ovens under and an induction hob over but I'm fairly sure 30mm worktops. It's a clearance and airflow thing I think.
(Neff appliances if that makes a difference)

@Carryitjoyfully yes you’re right, it’s the airflow. Sadly haven’t got room for ovens side by side or built in in a tall unit at eye level. Very few options unfortunately!

Swap it to the unit next to it? May not look as conventional, but no reason it has to be in the same unit. You could have drawers under the hob and the oven under worktop.
