Wimpey No Fines damp help

Hi
I moved Into a Wimpey No Fines house approx two weeks ago, it had been empty since November when I met lettings team on site and walked in a musty smell hit but we both put down to amount of time it had been empty, work on and off between Nov and May.
( to note it is a social housing property)

Cleaned it and found a few patches of black mould on concrete floors downstairs, first floor we painted had flooring laid ready to move in paid but have held off having the laminate fitted downstairs, as black mould kept coming back.

Damp and Mould survey today completed and found significant readings of damp throughout the ground floor floors, have been informed that the house could have red ash base in which case I could need to move again.

Has anyone got any experience with Red ash base or Wimpey no fines please

Wimpy no fines here.....literally nothing ive tried works. Been here 12 years. We had some mega thick paint once and that helped, I can see if can find the tin name if you want? It helped but didn't solve.

We have windows open all the time, 2 dehumidifiers, dont dry washing upstairs all help.

It annoys me but other than that the house is great can't afford to move. Will watch this thread with interest!

If you have option to move, do.

@Legoleopard thank you for the reply.

I have had two surveys completed which show severe damp issues in the floors either a failed dpc build type may not be present, apprantly it's the build type that has stopped going up the walls, the floors read the max moisture reading of 999.
So I have a few more days to wait to find out what I am doing.

Surveyor has informed that the entire ground floor needs to come up and have an epoxy dpc allowed to dry new concrete allowed to dry which will take a couple of months to complete, skirting will all come off and dpc up to 100mm above floor base.

Been a nightmare but explains why it smells so much of damp and the mould keeps coming through the floors.

Given the cost to complete is whether it is done or I move home.

The whole issue is compounded more so as I work for the HA and my son has additional needs so moving again will be tough on him.
