Selling home

Today I am feeling frustrated. We had a number of viewings possibly about 13. 1 offered, we accepted and he done the disappearing act. Another viewer came to our property (a flat) spent 25 mins inside. Spoke about making an offer (on ringdoorbell to agent) and it turns out they were talking about another property. So they were in my home for 25 mins whilst im outside waiting to come in/home using it as a meeting/discussing offer on another property.

If they arent interested, leave. Found it so rude!

I wonder if people just view properties to pass time with no intent to purchase. 🤔

What are your experiences, ive never had to sell before.

It's frustrating, but sadly it comes with the territory of selling houses. Viewing are a pain, but necessary. Last time my house was listed we had a few people who just didn't show on the day, which was particularly annoying given the effort of making my house presentable (I have a 4 year old! Keep going, it will work out in the end.

its really frustrating - make sure you ask the estate to only show people around who are proceedable as otherwise it can be lots of time wasting.
I also found estate agents wanted to show us around properties which didn’t have the things which were non negotiables for us and that was a waste of time. You want buyers who have asked especially to see your property rather than estate agents suggesting as everything is on Rightmove so if it has the right attributes buyers would ask to see it.

On a house that I sold a few years ago I came back to find the viewers sat in my garden chatting after the viewing. The estate agent had locked up the house and left them in the garden to “get a feel for the place” they must have been there for over an hour and a half… no offer.

The viewing stage is really tough, you have my sympathy. It’s really frustrating but you only need to find one committed buyer. Good luck, hopefully you will get an acceptable offer very soon.

We were so lucky. Our house was on the market for a week last summer and the 6th set of viewers offered full asking price. This isn't to gloat, but to try and give you some hope.

Having to keep it pristine for just a week was stressful enough, I didn't feel like I could live in it. I hope you get your buyer soon.
