Tips for being without a kitchen

We'll be without a kitchen for maybe 5 weeks. I have portioned off meals and the freezer including cooked rice and pasta sauce. I'll get some frozen veg too. We will have fridge, microwave, a kettle and a hotplat in the sitting room, plates, bowls and cutlery.
Any tips on how to make this not too painful and general tips for building in the house while living there?
TIA

When we went through this, a combination microwave/oven/grill which is a decent size without a rotary turntable (we used Panasonic ones and they're big enough to take a roast chicken and most vegetables in one go) has been a godsend. As others have indicated, a couple of halogen/induction Hobs (you will choose through gas bottles with a camping gas stove) also helped. Get a couple of those flexible buckets and just use a brush to clean plates and pans off initially, under cold water, and then when you've got a full load heat up water to proper washing temperature and wash them all to make sure they're spotless. If there's any food waste in the initial rinsing bowl, probably better to put it down the toilet rather than the bath plug, as you really want to avoid getting that blocked. Air fryers weren't a thing back then but they can be really useful. Good luck!

I set up a washing up area outside on a table with washing up bowl and dryer rack ..,if weather nice it was fine. For me it was the clutter and worst thing of all was the days without a washing machine.
also having fridge not in kitchen becomes very annoying.
if you have a separate room you can make up as a make shift kitchen that will help…we had everything in our lounge/diner which was quite overwhelming.
we had airfryer, microwave and camping stove on rotation.
the washing up was never that bad as it was simple oven tray food or pasta and stir through sauce type stuff.
and lots of take aways!!
it is quite stressful but you manage….keep checking what’s usable in the kitchen as well as I hadn’t realised at end of week 2 that the sink and dishwasher had been ready to use for half the week (annoying as the builders had seen me was him up in the garden!)
